Stopped into King Salmon after seeing the strong reviews, and overall it was a solid experience. The space is small, cozy, and inviting with a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in. Service was excellent—our server was super friendly and genuinely helpful with suggestions.
The menu has plenty of appealing choices. The fish wasn’t the absolute best we’ve had, but it was fresh and perfectly fine—good enough that we enjoyed our meal. The interior feels warm and welcoming; it’s the kind of spot you could make a regular.
One note for future diners: they do serve alcohol—some older reviews say they don’t, but that’s incorrect. All in all, a comfortable neighborhood sushi bar we’re happy to return to.
We’ll be back.

Sooo good! I had seen this place for a while since I work nearby and had never eaten here. My first visit was great! The sushi was delicious and the prices WERE really great! The advertise their menu price as 50% off and a dinner for two of us with 3 rolls each, calamari appetizers plus can sodas came off to less than $50! It was like 48 or so, omg I hope this restaurant stays the same, it was good and will definitely come back more often.

Great little sushi place in Midtown Phoenix. Stopped in for lunch today. The staff was friendly and the sushi was tasty. The salmon sashimi and roll were great, but my favorite item we had was the Chili Garlic Roll. The seared hamachi with the garlic chili crunch on top was delicious. On previous visits we’ve enjoyed the selection of Japanese appetizers, like the salads and tokoyaki as well.

King Salmon delivers an exceptional sushi experience. The fish cuts are outstanding—fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. They offer great deals without sacrificing quality, which makes the value hard to beat. The ambiance is inviting and well-designed, creating the perfect setting for both casual dining and special occasions. Service is attentive, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates top-tier sushi in a great atmosphere.

This place is good my wife loved the sushi and I got spicy sweet n sour chicken. I wanted sesame chicken but they didn’t have it. The spicy sweet and sour was not crispy and crunchy how I wanted it. But it was very good nonetheless… I’ll definitely eat here again.

I ordered out so can speak on food only. I had the Phoenix Rising roll which was good but a bit rich with so much spicy mayo, still it was very good. The spicy edamame was fantastic! Garlicky w/chili oil and just the right amount of heat. Also the crispy soft shelled crab was great, it had a creamy sauce with it but I had it with ponzu. Mmm so tasty!

50% off sushi rolls everyday (as far as I know)! Half off of the price you read on the menu. Super cool promotion and it doesn’t mean that the sushi is bad or cheap. We really enjoyed all of the rolls that we got.
The edamame was a standout as an appetizer I couldn’t recommend it more. Has some sea salt on top and was great. The service was also really good and the staff were personable.
The place is clean and we are looking forward to returning.

Legitimately one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I walk in a little before 8 and I understand it close to their 830 closing time. I try and be courteous and order to go in person. I ask first and they tell me “yes, you can order to go it’ll be about 15 minutes”. Then I proceed to stand next the register for the next 45 minutes as they do not take your number to remind you, so I just have to stay and wait. The entire time I wait 3 different groups of people come in after I order, dine in, get served and leave. Then I watch 6 different people get their to go orders. I get reassured 20 minutes into my wait that they are packing my food as we speak as I clearly am confused by the wait. Finally I get sick of standing and sit down, where I watch one of the servers come by and hand a someone their to go orders and apologize for the wait. Only then one of the chefs notices me and tells the server that the box sitting right next to her is my food. If you’re busy that’s fine but why not tell me that, if you told me 40 minutes I could leave and come back? If it’s 15 minutes then I’ll just wait. Why would it be easier for me to dine in and then leave with my food then just order to go? The food is decent, but jesus this was just a disgusting waste of my time.

I had a great lunch at King Salmon! They have really good lunch specials, and their sushi tastes fresh and delicious. Service is also very attentive and kind. I tried the spicy Korean pork bowl and 3 types of nigiri (salmon, tuna, and yellowtail). Everything tasted amazing!
