Update 12/2025: I came to try the December special, the Duck the Halls: duck confit, sweet potato hash, arugula, 2 eggs, and spicy aioli. Mine was not cut, not sure why but super tasty with tender duck meat!
I also tried the pork belly bao buns: pork belly, picked onions and chimichurri and avocado. These were outstanding, with a nice crunch, a zippity do da from the picked onions and chimichurri, which was balanced by the smooth, silky avocado. Filling!
And a cucumber lemonade to accompany.
look forward to trying the monthly menu specials.
For Oct 2025 it is the Local Yolkol, 1 egg, local kobasz, Two Roads beer cheddar cheese sauce (OMG), cheddar slice all on a pretzel bun. Deliciously satistisfying.
And the homemade cucumber lemonade.

I LOVE this place. The Fatone breakfast burrito is the best breakfast burrito by far in the area – and I am a breakfast burrito enthusiast and expert. It’s toasty and salted (the salt really elevates it) and even though I’m not a fried egg fan, I actually really love the fried egg in this burrito. The green hot sauce takes it above and beyond, so make sure to order that on the side. I like to chase a Sound Coffee latte with a burrito from Tasty Yolk. Together, those two make for PERFECT Black Rock morning fare. There is no better way to spend a morning. Food travels well, too, which is huge, though I do like to sit at the bar and chow down on my burrito because God forbid I wait more than 2 seconds to indulge, I love it THAT much!

I don’t like having to write this but the owner should be aware. I’ve eaten here countless times and this morning my wife and I stopped in the Bridgeport store to grab some breakfast wraps. As always the food was delicious, so no complaints there. My issue was with the 2 prep girls that were working in the back. Though they both had black gloves on, I witnessed one of the women tip a bottle so the other woman could dip her pinky finger in the bottle and lick her finger. She then proceeded to start wrapping cheese without changing her glove. She clearly looked up at that moment to see if anyone was looking at her. I know restaurants have a lot that go on behind the scenes but workers need to be more aware when customers can see right in the kitchen. That doesn’t make it anymore acceptable but they need to do better. If the manager or owner was the one who I think it was, you probably know who these women are and would suggest talking to them about this incident. Again, love your food!

We thoroughly enjoyed our freshly made breakfast sandwiches and cucumber lemonade nestled in the front window counter-top-nook while listening to upbeat, club tunes.
The egg was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of moisture and piles of crispy bacon.

I love that the space was neat and clean even though it was a busy morning. The service was attentive and efficient, which is about as good to me as being kind and prompt. I honestly look forward to trying the food at other locations.

“Found” this place while having some time to kill waiting for an appointment. Just outstanding! Folks behind the counter were friendly and accommodating and the food was insanely good. I’m glad I don’t live too close by…wallet would be thinner and I would not be..Don’t hesitate to check it out.

A unique breakfast spot with satellite booths all over town. They have fantastic varied options. Sometimes the service is cold, probably due to the staff being busy. I would recommend to anyone, just be sure to ask for the eggs to be cooked to preference!

I live in Stamford, but was in the area, so a friend recommended I stop into tasty yolk for a quick breakfast. The banker which has two eggs spicy aïoli, and brisket was unbelievable. The brisket was so tender and flavorful and it was the perfect breakfast sandwich it hit the spot! Christina was such a sweetheart at the register and gave me a lot of great recommendations. She’s super knowledgeable and very friendly. She those the menu inside and out. I wanted a low sugar drink and they carry spindrifts so she recommended that as well. Thank you so much for the help Christina you are awesome and this place is great! Food is 10/10!

The storefront offers so much more than the sandwiches. I’m making my way through the menu on a weekly (sometimes, twice! ) My favorites so far is the Berry Tasty for breakfast and the steak and cheese for lunch. Quick and friendly service. Ordering online is so clutch! It tells you and estimated pickup time and then follows up when your order is ready.
