Welcome to the hen house! At Hops & Hen, we’ve taken local brewers spices and hops, mixed it into our brine and batter, then sealed all the flavors in for a crispy and perfectly tender chicken strip. Hops & Hens has a casual, approachable feel with a fun environment, giving nods to being inside the hen house with colorful ‘picnic’ style plaids and rooster napkin holders. Pair all this with lawn games such as Jenga, Connect Four and Washers while enjoying a breathtaking view of Downtown Dallas.

Came to this place after a long bus ride and for a food spot it was probably the best spot without walking too far with bags. They serve a rather nice Crispy Chicken sandwich comprised of two nicely cooked chicken stripe. The staff here likes a clean establishment and you get free refills on your basic drinks.

I’ve been wanting to try this place! Came during lunch hour (bad choice). They had 1 woman working the counter—she was overwhelmed but handled the crowd with grace. Took about 20 mins to place my order. Food arrived maybe 10 mins later. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the sandwich was. I had the TX Hot & ordered a side of tots. The chicken was crispy fried to perfection. The tenders combined with kale slaw—explosion of flavor! (Didn’t think I’d like tbh). Wanted to add tomatoes but that was a $2 up charge Overall, it was simply, delicious.
Love the location—plenty to see and do nearby. Enjoyed the outdoor dining and view. Will be back to try the other sauces for the tenders and possibly the loaded tots.
Parking options: street/meter, garage or valet as this is attached to OMNI hotel.
*Suggestion: OMNI should really get phone numbers associated with their restaurants on property so individuals can order via phone. I also didn’t see an option to order online through the linked website. Some things to consider.

Very fresh and steaming hot chicken! This is really good chicken. The chicken sandwich was big and hard to take a bite of it was that loaded. The Mac n cheese wasn’t warm but the server replaced it with a steaming hot portion. The space was decorated for Christmas and I loved looking at all the ornaments while we waited for the food. My only dislike was the flavor of the sauces I picked.

Hops & Hens is a restaurant connected with the Omni Dallas Hotel. It’s basically a fast food chicken restaurant with counter service. I ordered the Caesar Salad and shared Chicken Tenders with my group. The tenders were okay, but salty. It was setup as a Blitzen Bar Pop-up.

Chicken tenders were crispy and moist. Corn ribs felt like an extraneous afterthought chasing a trend though not actively bad. Sauces were excellent. Beer list was inaccurate.

We just left “Blitzen’s” and everything was so amazing. The Chirstmas decor makes you feel like you’re on a movie set. We had the chicken tenders and Hen’s Tots. Perfect comfort food. Chicken tenders are huge and delicious. The best part, our bartender, Joel. He was phenomenal and awesome to talk to! You should definitely go check him out! We’ll definitely be back!

I’m thrilled that Hops & Hens is conveniently located near the convention center. It’s the perfect spot to unwind in the evening after a long day, enjoying bites and beers with colleagues. They offer a good selection of beers, but the highlight for me is their chicken sandwich. The portions are generous, and the flavor is amazing.
The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, and I personally prefer the outdoor area when the weather is nice.
However, my only complaint is their slow ordering system. Everyone has to line up at the bar counter to order, and during lunch breaks, the line can stretch out the door. This is a significant issue, especially in such a high-traffic area near the convention center, and it’s something that should be addressed.

Great chicken tenders. Keep in mind when ordering, 2 tenders equals 1 whole breast. They are huge. Cocktails and beer on point and the staff engages you in conversation. Nice and friendly. Prices are fair a d food is outstanding. Will definitely stop in again on my next visit to Dallas.
