Best home cooked food around! I have been eating here for years and the quality and taste of the food never disappoints. They have a different menu every day. Usually they offer two meal options at a time. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. When serving the food they wear gloves and put extra care into the presentation on the plate as well. There is a lot of love and care in the meals. The service is fast as well. They currently (June, 2024) offer an outdoor covered picnic area but are in the process of constructing a permanent indoor dinning area. Seating could be limited until the construction is complete but while the weather is warm it is a perfect place to eat as take out! It is close to a city park and is on the same road as the entrance to Kingdom Come State Park

It’s the best deep-fried catfish and coleslaw anywhere around the area. The presentation is beautiful. We enjoyed our visit. We were sad Emma’s wasn’t open when we left.

A nice little find while roaming around the hills. Good food and the most friendly folks you will ever find. Great personal service. Seems to be a local favorite with many regulars.

Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious! We were fortunate to meet the owner during the Possumfest rush, she and her team are some amazing folks! They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We will be back!

So happy we found this place. The folks here are incredible — kind, welcoming, and great company. A storm hit while we were eating and they made us our own eating area inside so we didn’t have to eat in the car. So thoughtful. We had a blast getting to know everyone while enjoying some AMAZING food. Everything we ordered was perfect and so fresh. Best food I’ve had in Cumberland, hands down. You’ve got a big fan, Emma!!

I had a cheeseburger with onion rings and was very impressed. It was a lot of food for a great price.

Y’all. This is a hidden treasure. You’re going to pull up and think it looks a little shady, and you may contemplate just leaving, but you need to stay and eat this food. Emma is the cook and she can cook up some fabulous catfish, green beans, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. I have had lots of cornbread over the years in Kentucky, but this was THE BEST cornbread I have ever had. The taste and the softness were to die for. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a great title mom and pop restaurant, the food was amazingly delicious. We talked to the owner, she was so gracious and a warm personality. Just like eating at moms house. The ribs , and cole slaw I had, was as good as it gets. We came in on motorcycles, rode across The Little Shepard Trail. Which is basically a one lane paved road across a ridgetop down into Kingdom Come state park. Got to see log rock. Then across Black Mountain, highest point in Kentucky. This road rivals The Tail of the Dragon. This is a great trip for motorcyclists, the cherry on top was finding this restaurant for a wonderful meal with appreciative owners and workers. This will be our go to diner for all our trips to this area. Go enjoy the mountain roads, and a great meal
