We stopped by this place for a quick dinner while traveling south, and our experience was distinctly average, which is why I’m giving it three stars.
The food was generally fine, but our server wasn’t very attentive tho, she didn’t offer us even water. But place was cute, I loved design

Food was delicious, tis a bit loud sometimes but otherwise its a busy place at certain hours. Tacos were delicious and margaritas worth.

We stopped here for the first time, and it will be the last. The food was amazing, but the server added two drinks to our bill even though we both ordered tap water, and when we mentioned it she said she would take it off and I handed her the card. When she brought the receipt back, she only took one of the two drinks off (they were on the receipt as Soda). 3.75 for a soda we didn’t order. Based on her response to us pointing this out, this must be a common occurrence and gives me zero trust in this business. It’s a shame because the food was great.

The carne asada was tough and poorly seasoned. My daughter ordered a burrito and was disappointed. The ribs were of similar quality to the carne asada. The carne asada tacos were also poorly seasoned. I found the prices quite high considering the poor quality of the food. If the food had been exceptional, I might not have minded the price, including a 20% tip. We will not be returning to this place.

I don’t usually eat Guacamole dip. But Sol Azteca’s was really good. And the Food was very good & nicely portioned. The service was fast, friendly, & attentive.
Of the other restaurants of this type in Sussex county, this one just became my favorite. Several others didn’t even garner a review.

The queso and salsa were bland — never a good sign for a Mexican restaurant. The queso came out lukewarm and tasted like plain melted cheese with no seasoning or recipe behind it. Service was slow and inattentive. Maybe for the middle of nowhere in Delaware, where dining options are limited, people think it’s good, but honestly it’s a 2-star place at best. The prices were what you’d expect for a 5 star restaurant. Drinks were good, mt wife got a margarita.

The food was delicious! I got their pork carnitas and they were so tender and flavorful.
The music was a little loud, and at one point they had a birthday and it was cranked up to the point of being painful due to both volume and the quality of what was being played as it was a very scratchy sounding recording. Once that was over the volume was reduced again but it was still a bit loud and hard to carry on a conversation.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was so fun. We sat next to a family of all ages with a teenage birthday. They were delightful and the birthday serenade was joyful. Did I mention. That the food was great? I had the nachos supreme which was fresh and deliciously seasoned, and my friend had the Sol Azteca Special which included the most tender and flavorful piece of pork chop that either of us have ever had.

If I had to say anything I didn’t like, I’d say the salsa was more tomato forward than spicy, but we got the tables idea guacamole which was fresh and delicious.

I usually stop by here on my way north/south the peninsula.
It’s usually pretty good.
The service is promp, the place is very clean .
This last time, I ordered carne asada and it did not turn out very well .
It had cross contamination from another meal. Something hot/pungent.
Some kind of brownish sauce that irritated my taste buds.
I had to pat it dry with napkins.
I may continue to stop by.
I recommend that the cooks pay more attention to what they’re doing.
Some people just cannot tolerate spicy foods.

This was our first time stopping here, very clean and very friendly authentic Mexican cuisine. We really enjoyed our time and our meal, large portions, if you buy the area, it’s worth a stop.
