My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary here last night. We felt truly cared for with the personalized card waiting at the table and the complimentary champagne was the perfectly touch. Our server was Don and he was top notch. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He was great at anticipating our needs and was super knowledgeable about the menu. We are from Canada so we don’t pass through PA that often but we will certainly be returning here in the future. Highly recommend!!! PS. Hope your enjoy the Danube river cruise Don 🙂

My husband and I visited here for our anniversary dinner. While it was our first time here it will not be the last! The staff was amazing and we were showered with attention over it being our anniversary. The food was delicious (especially the hummus fries!) and the atmosphere was awesome. Everything we had was delicious. We started with the pan seared day boat scallops, which I would highly recommend. We also ordered the chef’s tacos, salt roasted beets, lobster fettuccine, and char-grilled prime pork chop. The cocktails were creative and incorporated seasonal ingredients and the creme brulee and espresso were a great way to finish the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was great. We’ll be back!

Great atmosphere with top notch food. Beautifully prepared, farm to table, and gluten free options that are actually exciting and special. A place that’s been on my list for a very long time and long overdue…and it’s now my favorite place for dinner. My husband and I enjoyed dinner here twice this past year, once to celebrate my birthday in September and most recently when we purchased our cut Christmas tree nearby. Beautiful holiday atmosphere and our waiter Andrew so pleasant and friendly.

Updated from 2nd time. We came and everything felt rushed. The charcuterie board was just thrown together on some lettuce. The steak didn’t taste good. The drink was good but I only had one. Everything was out quick and felt like they wanted us out for the next person.
From the moment we came in everyone was so nice and welcoming. I was celebrating my 35th birthday. They had a card waiting on table, I got a chocolate cake slice with a cool candle. My pork chop was cooked to perfection, seriously as thick as it was, it was juicy and cooked all the way through. We got a charcuterie board, that was so good and favorable!! My lemon meringue martini was so delicious too. This will definitely my husband and I new date spot!! Even the guitarist/soloist was really good last night too.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Alter House. We hadn’t been here in a while but decided to try it again for my wife’s birthday and we are so glad we did. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. The menu had many excellent choices and was priced very reasonably. Atmosphere was perfect as well. The portions were ample and were skillfully prepared. We will definitely be back again soon and we are so fortunate to have such a gem like this in our little community.

Huge shout out to Alyssa and Hayden who took care of us tonight. Brought my mom in for her birthday and honestly couldn’t have been more impressed with how well we were taken care of from the moment we walked in the door, to the moment we left.
As my grandmother has several food allergies, here is where I was most impressed. Hayden sat with her for a few minutes and helped tailor her own personal plate to her liking, and she could not have been more happy with the food. The same could be said about the rest of the table as well.
Between the drinks, the food, and the service, I can easily say Alter House is by far the best place to go in the area, and I couldn’t recommend it more. The final touch was Alyssa bringing out the cake we snuck in, exactly when it needed to be brought out and took the time to top it with a sparkler which was a great touch. Thank you to everyone that took care of us tonight. It was all well received and deeply appreciated

First time at this restaurant for two birthday celebrations and we loved this place. The atmosphere, the staff, our waitress Alyssa she was spot on with everything another man came over to our table ( but I forgot his name) very very helpful and everyone was so nice. The food was top notch the best I’ve had. We will definitely come back again plus their alcoholic beverages so many to choose from. Just simply a beautiful place to have your special occasion or just dinner for two there.
