I’ve been very happy with every location and will return. If you want a great burger, have them put a couple slices of brisket and bacon on it. Amazing..!!

I came here for lunch and was quite impressed. The service was very quick, the food was rather quick, the staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious.

The portion sizes were also pretty good as well, I got 2 cheddar cornbread muffins, 2 generous slices of brisket, 3 slices of turkey and 2 sides which were filled to the brim of the cups they came in.

Overall I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was delicious!! Drinks were great also. It was different style of dining for my wife and I. Somewhat self serve with the water and soda. You order and pay soon as you walk in they give you a number for your table and they bring your food to the table and if you ordered alcohol the bar tender will bring it to your table. We ordered the brisket , pork sandwich and a salad. The order came with cheese biscuits we also had an Old fashioned drink and a beer. Very friendly staff and clean. We would return if we return to Dothan Alabama.

I attended their soft opening and everything was perfect. The food was served quickly. The staff was wonderful with plenty of help.
This is probably the best BBQ that I have experienced. The sauces are very tasty. They have a beautiful bar area and a roomy outdoor dining area. There are several big screen television screens for your viewing pleasure. They had employees in the parking lot directing traffic when they entered. They had obviously prepared well for this opening and everything went smoothly for my party of 4.
Our entrees included pulled pork sandwich, baby back ribs & loaded potato. The loaded potato is large enough for two people. Great food

The new Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the efficient and friendly staff. Even with a bustling lunchtime crowd, ordering was a breeze, and the service throughout our meal was exceptional, with attentive staff members always available.
The food itself was classic Jim ‘N Nick’s – pure BBQ perfection. My personal favorite was the jalapeño cheddar sausage link, bursting with flavor. The Carolina pulled pork and brisket were both incredibly tender and delicious, showcasing the art of slow-cooked barbecue. Don’t miss out on the sides either – the mac and cheese and BBQ baked beans were the perfect complements to the meal.

Ordered take out.
The loaded baked potato was huge, not the toppings were very skimpy… Like very little cheese, sour cream and butter, leaving an overall dry potato. Overall a 4. Would order again with more toppings.

Chili cup seems small when you order to-go overall good.

Banana pudding was sad…$5.99 for a very very skimpy to go portion:(

Overall still a 3+ not quiet a 4 as it was when I ordered to eat in.

Okay, it’s my first time trying out this place. Overall, the experience was nice. It was kinda like a chickfila drive thru. Mistakes were made, but they were more than happy to fix their mistake.

Chicken tenders were overcooked and dry and not juicy, not flavorful at all. we asked for a 4 piece tender but got 3.

Honey mustard was more honey than mustard (I like more of a horseradish honey mustard). If you don’t, you’ll probably like it.

The chocolate pie was good, the mac&cheese was very good, and the cheddar biscuits were superb!

The coleslaw was good (you can definitely taste the onion). Fries were alright.

One major flaw was that the pint of brisket chili was only filled halfway. If you’re paying for a pint, you should then get a whole pint.

I wasn’t really sure what an impact fee was, but I paid 2.23 for it. From what I’ve researched, it’s to cover the cost for labor. So. Minus a star for that…mainly towards the owners for making the customer foot the bill for their employees.

Next time, I will try the brisket. I want to like this place and I’m sure in time they’ll get better at the cutting table. I’d ask them to take a look at that impact fee, though. That’s kind of a deterrence.

Came here after our first week living in Dothan. I think we have found our new favorite restaurant. The loaded baked potato was HUGE and they did not skimp on the meat. The pulled pork was excellent. My wife LOVED the cheese biscuits and banana pudding. The staff was very friendly. Nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Highly recommend this place and we will be back often.

I recently visited Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q in Dothan Alabama, and let me tell you, they serve hands-down the *best brisket* in the region! The meat was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor—every bite was pure BBQ perfection. What sets this location apart from other Jim ‘N Nick’s I’ve been to is the unique setup: you order at the counter as you walk in and then seat yourself. It’s a casual, no-fuss vibe that makes the experience feel laid-back yet efficient. Despite the different ordering style, the food quality is just as outstanding as other locations, with the same mouthwatering menu and that signature Jim ‘N Nick’s taste. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the brisket alone is worth the trip. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch BBQ in Southeast Alabama!

My friend Leslie and I had a wonderful experience tonight at Jim N Nick’s! We had the cheese biscuits and onion rings for our starter, and the onion rings definitely stole the show! The batter is very light and crispy, with the perfect amount of seasoning.

For my entree I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries, and Leslie had the three meat plate with two trimmings. The Carolina pork, chicken, and brisket were all smoked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The corn was unexpectedly amazing, and the mac and cheese was absolutely irresistible. The pulled pork sandwich was tender, sweet, and slightly spicy, and the fries really cannot be beat. We ended with banana pudding, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Not only was the food incredible, but the service was unlike anything I’ve seen at a restaurant in Dothan. Everyone was friendly and polite, and I truly felt welcome in the establishment. The decor was very welcoming, and the bathrooms were super clean and orderly. Dothan finally has a new restaurant that’s worth the hype!
