I’m obsessed with this place! Shahs of Kabab is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Gables. My go-to spot. I come at least once or twice a week, sometimes for lunch, sometimes for dinner, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and flavorful, the portions are perfect, and the team is so welcoming. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out

Their Kobeideh Kabab is super tasty and very juicy. The service is quick and prices are reasonable. I would come here again if I am in town and in the mood for a proper meal.

We have dined at Shahs of Kebob before and are familiar with how the food is supposed to taste and be prepared. Unfortunately, today’s pickup order was extremely disappointing. We ordered 3 koobideh, 2 chicken, and 2 soltani kabobs, and every item was undercooked. The kabobs were red inside while burned on the outside, and the rice was very hard. This isn’t a matter of flavor—it’s a serious food safety issue. Being served raw ground beef and lamb is unacceptable, especially at this price point. I spent $240 on this order, and the quality was far below expectations. Serving flour tortillas with yogurt instead of pita is incorrect for Persian cuisine. As someone familiar with Persian food, this experience was very disappointing. I will be disputing $176 of the $241 charged, as that amount reflects the cost of the inedible food; the remaining balance covers the doogh and yoghurt purchased.

This place does not serve good kabob. Neither does it make ‘Persian food’.
We ordered the family platter, the flatbread served was basically grocery store tortilla, the salad looks and tastes like pico de gallo without the refreshing taste.
Koobideh didn’t taste good, we hate to waste food but we can’t force ourselves to eat it.
The only thing we could eat was the rice, usually it’s served with butter and sumac on the side but not here. I asked for butter and was given this yellow-ish water powder mixture. I put it on the rice. It didn’t taste like butter at all. Pretty sure it’s butter flavoring. So now we can’t even eat the rest of the rice.
We left the restaurant still hungry, it’s not worth 4.5 stars and certainly not Persian food.
It is certainly cheap, but I would rather eat McD or even just skip dinner.

My family and I went to the Coral Gables location of the Shah of Kebob for Mother’s Day and it was beautiful. The background music was a little loud but the overall ambience and decor is beautiful. A really nice semi formal dining experience. They were running a little short on staff but the staff there was working hard and trying to keep up with the orders the best they should.
The food was excellent, as usual. They never disappoint with the consistent quality of their food. The desert options were also great. Our family favorite was Baklava cheesecake, loved the way it was prepared. I’ve tried it at other places and they use rose water in the cake and it really overpowers the taste, this one was just right.

The food is Always amazing. It’s never just really good. The Coral Gables location is the only one I’ve eaten at in the restaurant but have ordered from two other locations and you always know it’ll be excellent. The meat is perfect, the rice is always just right and few things compare to the way the pita bread gets gummy after it’s used as the bed for the skewers. The sauces are always consistent, creamy and tasty (Miami Heat is such a cool invention, it’s legitimately hot but bc of the cream base it’s super easy to eat ). Then there’s the deserts (at least in Coral Gables). Dinner portions are already quite large and the deserts are the same way. It’s such a unique place and it never disappoints. The only thing I think they could do better is the online ordering system, it’s frustrating. I had to keep authenticating, tried to save my address and everything reset and it was delivered through Uber Eats even though it didn’t seem to show up in the Uber Eats app. But that’s a technology issue and even with it being a hassle , the food is so good, it’s very easy to overlook. Few places are this good and this consistent.

Disappointing meal. Order arrived with zero sauces and salad dressing even though the sauces were specified in my order. The manager did not empathize with our disappointment and did not apologize. He said “I’m not saying you guys are lying, but my worker said he put the sauces in”. We have a 2 month old baby which is why we are ordering delivery in the first place and certainly don’t have time to lie about missing sauces. Very rude to insituate we’d lie. What terrible customer service and terrible customer experience. The food was okay but dry without the sauces, which are the best part of Shahs of Kabob. Salad was not much of a salad without dressing. This is our first time ordering from the Coral Gables location. We’ve typically ordered from the South Miami location no issues and they are also have real customer service at the South Miami location. Do better.

My first time experience here and absolutely loved it. Fresh produce in the salad. The kabob was so delicious, I wish I had ordered the larger plate (the small plate was more than enough for a filling lunch. This place is great!
