Twirling Birds is unmatched — easily the best wings I’ve ever had.
We used to visit them all the time back when they were in Portland, and even though the move to Silverton means we don’t get to go as often, the drive is ALWAYS worth it. Their wings are spot-on every single time — crispy, flavorful, and insanely juicy.
Honestly, they’re so good I can eat them without ranch. That’s saying something.
Their bread pudding is also phenomenal. It’s perfectly balanced — not overly sweet, not heavy — just light, warm, and ridiculously satisfying.
If you’re debating whether to make the trip: do it. Twirling Birds delivers every single time.

I’ve known them and their food for over 3 years, and 5 stars aren’t enough to describe the experience they create for you.
I am from Peru, and their chicken and sauces are so similar to ours! The wings.. tenders.. fries.. banana pudding.. OMG all so good! Also, the way they talk to you, their warmth, their passion.. Honestly, no other food cart makes me feel like I’m home. I live by Gresham, and if it takes me an hour or more to get there, I’ll still drive without hesitation .

Lori and Calvin are truly amazing people and the hospitality is absolutely top notch. There is honestly no place out there that will have you leaving this happy, this full, and this taken care of. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed like family. Their rotisserie chicken is incredible and the chicken sandwiches are on another level, especially with the homemade sauces that take everything over the top. I’ve been telling my wife about their chicken sandwiches for a while and I was so excited to finally bring her here, and she was completely speechless after her first bite and now she wants to go back every day haha. Thank you so much Lori and Calvin for such an amazing experience, we truly hope you have the best day ever and we will absolutely be back.

Listen, if you’re thinking about trying this place, do it. Don’t live in town? Plan that trip to Portland, because you won’t be disappointed. My husband and I were visiting from Tucson, AZ and planned a day in the area to try their reportedly best chicken wings ever. 100/10 would plan another trip and drive out of the way to taste these delicious chicken wings again. I’ve never had chicken wings cooked in this style before and they were AMAZING. GLORIOUS. Fed my soul. 3000/10.
Laura, Kelvin and Harley were beyond friendly, warm and welcoming . Their food tastes like it is cooked with so much intention, love and attention to detail. I had to order more wings to have for dinner later that night at the end of our road trip because they were that good. They were so kind to us and added a sweet and tasty dessert that I couldn’t find on their menu. Whatever it was- it tasted like heaven in my mouth. This team has a gift for cooking.
I feel like this is the type of spot that the Michelin system was intended for. If you’re visiting Portland, this food truck is worth going out of your way or planning a day around the area and stopping by to eat here after you’ve explored Silverton and the nearby state park. Chill atmosphere with plenty of seating, music and of course good food. Today I ate their ribs and their chicken Strips. The meat just falls off the bones of the ribs and the chicken strips are huge and tender with a lot of flavor. The people the run the cart are cool and friendly. I will definitely return XD

You cant go wrong going to twirling bird for lunch or dinner. Their food and service is outstanding! Even on a busy day, and running out of certain items on the menu, you are greeted with a smiling face and options for replacements. You’re never rushed or feel like a bother and the food is so tasty and so fresh! I hope this place stays here forever!

Had the best chicken wings of my life here this weekend. They are juicy with the best crispy char on them, and delicious sauces. I had the sweet soy glaze and my husband had the buffalo. He said he’ll order extra sauce next time because he prefers more than a drizzle but I loved them as is. We also got a side of mac salad which was good quality but a little too tangy (maybe pickle-y?) for my taste. I live an hour away unfortunately but I may have to make the trip sometime soon and buy enough to take home leftovers!
