The snacks and chaat were fabulous — especially the mutton keema pav bhaji, which we absolutely loved. Other items like the samosa and chaat were also delicious.
However, I was quite disappointed with the biryani. It seemed more like chicken curry was added on top after the rice was served, rather than being cooked together. It felt like basmati rice served with chicken gravy, and the strong cumin flavour overpowered the dish.
The chicken frankie was good, though it could be improved by reducing the amount of ghee or oil used.
Overall, the service was good, and the food presentation and ambience were definitely a plus.
I’m not entirely sure what I had as I ordered through the ‘too good to go’ app but I received a whole tray of fluffy white rice , I’m assuming the other was tarka dhal , I’m usually fussy with this, but I honestly can’t fault it , so heart warming ! Also had a lovely chicken curry along side it with a samosa and a poppadom. All for 4.99 I also couldn’t resist coming back in to try a whole box selection of their desserts . Looking forward to some gulab jamun when I book a table with my family amd friends . Thank you Amon
There are many Indian restaurants in this part of Swansea, but this one is a little different.
The ambience is relaxed with nicely decorated walls and a fairly modern seated area.
The menu is large, but don’t expect the ‘usual’ standard dishes, although there are some familiar meals to try.
There is a section of the menu devoted to Indian street food with plenty to tempt the palate.
Also a selection thali combinations if you fancy trying a bit of a selection.
All food was very tasty (fairly spicy), and well presented. The balance between the main ingredients and the sauce was much better than you normally experience in a typical restaurant; less sauce, but very intensely flavoured/ fragranced.
The staff members are polite and knowledgeable, while checking that we were happy at every stage of our stay.
Highly recommended
It’s the second time I’ve visited here, this time I had Mixed Pakoda for starters with Punjabi Choley, Nan and Basmati rice as a my main.
Definitely recommend this place, it’s often quiet but I know it gets busy at weekends.
