Writing this review is disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, one appalling experience completely ended that.
My husband and I are regular customers and order from here monthly, if not more. A few weeks ago, I placed a $193 carryout order, and almost all of it was inedible.
• Steak ordered medium rare came well done and dried out
• Shrimp had black residue on it (absolutely disgusting)
• Fried rice was ice cold
• The only edible item was the California roll my son ordered
The rest went straight into the trash.
When I called the restaurant, the manager showed no remorse whatsoever. He initially offered a $50 credit for nearly $200 worth of ruined food. When I pushed back, he argued with me about how much I paid. After correcting him, he offered 50% off, which is still unacceptable when the food was not edible. I even offered to send photos of the shrimp and steak — he refused and clearly had no interest in fixing the issue.
Since the previous owner sold this location, service has declined and food quality has clearly followed. This place no longer values its customers or basic food standards.
We will never return to this location. We will only go to the Vernon Hills location, which actually knows how to treat customers and serve food that isn’t trash-worthy.
Photos attached so others can see what we were served.

Delicious meal! All food was cooked perfectly, chef was incredible! But unfortunately there’s a server that stared us down our entire meal, from different areas in the room and it made us extremely uncomfortable. She was friendly when she did interact with us, just extremely intense with the staring, never experienced that in any restaurant or even public space ever. Food was delicious tho!

They accommodated a change in # of people. It was so much fun. There were 12 of us for a birthday celebration.

I’ve eaten here twice now. The food is really good for a hibachi. So good my partner has talked about the golden shrimp for 3 days straight! Nothing bad on the menu, but if you’re adverse to mushrooms make sure you tell them. The sushi is fresh and taste amazing. Service is super quick, but still so very polite. They do an amazing job here, it’s not just another hibachi.

I originally was looking for all you can eat sushi but I came across this restaurant since it has good ratings and in the area. I didn’t know coming in that it is hibachi style restaurant (or you can choose a normal seating). Overall the food was pretty good, although the vegetables could have been on the grill longer and cooked more thoroughly. I ordered sushi from the sushi bar, and my husband ordered from the grill. It was good but I just felt like it was over priced. We had a waiter that was really nice but the other people working there would ignore you if you needed help or had a question.
Overall it wasn’t terrible but probably won’t come again

The best hibachi in the area! The service is always great, even if it’s a slower night, you still get the same show from the chefs. Quality of the food and drinks are always on point too.

We come here a few times a year and it’s always been a great experience. The food is always cooked correctly and tastes delicious. The atmosphere is what you’d expect for this type of restaurant. The cooks are entertaining especially when children are present. The kids always have a good time and enjoy trying to catch the broccoli the cook throws at them. Prices are higher than your average restaurant but in line with this type of place.

Fun place. Cooking on the stainless steel grill. Went there to celebrate a Birthday dinner. Food grilled on a stainless steel table. Huge flame at the start.

Save your money, go somewhere else. The best tasting item I had was the vegetables. Drink refills were very slow, we asked for a side of spicy mayo which we then had to ask for more 3 times before they actually got it to us, and charged us $2 for it without ever saying it would cost anything. Sitting at the hibachi table, I sadly had the smoke in my face the entire meal. Ordered golden shrimp which is supposed to have an egg yoke sauce but it basically came out as flavorless lard. Can’t fully express how disappointed we were with this meal which ended up being $50/person. SO, save your money. Go elsewhere.

Usually amazing food with a good show. Tonight our cook was meh. Luckily I was with great company to make the night a success.
