The portion of the pho is huge, very generous. The flavour is decent, but fairly average overall.

The fried chicken was the most disappointing dish. The batter was much too thick… as you can see in the photo, the coating was almost as thick as the chicken itself and the taste was not what we expected.

The shrimp spring rolls were good. simple, light, and enjoyable.

As for the drinks, they were overly sweet. There was too much sweetener added, which made them a bit hard to finish.

It’s busy during lunch time, very crowded in the shop.

I consider this a little treat to myself whenever I am in town and craving for a bowl of spicy Vietnamese beef noodles. The serving is so generous eventhough it’s the small size. They do offer a large size too if you can eat more. I enjoy a smaller serving as I like to get other sides like spring rolls. The broth is so tasty and rice noodles so chewy. It’s not pho (flat noodles) but a different type that is thick. So far I’ve only tried the noodles and spring rolls, haven’t really ventured to try the rice dishes or banh mi because the noodles are always so good. Would love to try the banh xeo (crispy pancake) another time because I saw someone order it and it looked good!

Doux Chaton is a lovely family run Vietnamese restaurant in Liverpool. The owner is Vietnamese, and the food has a nice touch of authentic home style flavor.

The interior is simple and cozy, with some Vietnamese decorations that create a relaxed atmosphere. You order at the counter, and the staff bring the food to your table.

We ordered two large bowls of pho and they were huge! The portions are incredibly generous, definitely great value for money. The broth is on the lighter side, probably adjusted for local tastes, but still quite flavorful and comforting.

The fried spring rolls were crispy, not greasy, and packed with filling, especially good when dipped in fish sauce. The fried chicken wings were golden and fragrant, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside.

Overall, Doux Chaton is a great spot for a satisfying Vietnamese meal, tasty food, big portions, fair prices, and a friendly, homely vibe.

Really nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. We called in for a quick Lunch one Saturday afternoon and tried the Banh Mi Baguette, I tried the “GA” Chicken and Lemongrass one, it was excellent
Service is friendly and quick, it seemed busy, but you don’t wait long for a Table. The food others were eating also looked really nice
Definitely worth a visit if you want some great Vietnamese food

Really tasty food and huge portions! Fairly expensive (£18 for my dish) but the portion size makes up for up. The venue however is really cramped, the only table we could get was right in front of the toilet door, and it’s very brightly lit inside.

One of our favourite spots to eat! Always a warm welcome with superb hospitality, food is consistently delicious, fresh and plentiful! A real family establishment with care and love in everything they offer! Try the banh mi and pho, you won’t be disappointed!!

Absolutely incredible! Best and most authentic Vietnamese food I’ve ever had outside of Vietnam itself. I have tried a lot of imitations which have fallen short but this was like sitting in the centre of Saigon – even the bread in the Banh Mi.. incredible! Wish I didn’t live so far away!

Recommended this place by someone from work who said this was THE place for authentic Vietnamese food and I was not disappointed. Staff were extremely friendly. A very lovely staff member suggested the lemon grass pork belly skewers and I’m glad she did, it was delicious. It’s a very cosy environment that has music to an appropriate volume where you can have a conversation with someone across from you without shouting, which is very appreciated if you’re looking for a meal in a more relaxed venue. Would definitely go again!

No surprises, no thrills. Noodle portion was huge, but the sides were just okay. Vietnamese coffee had a strong kick, though the roast was a bit too burnt for my taste.

I’ve been to this place 4 times in a month, ordered different things and everything felt so fresh, homey and oh-so-tasty!! AND the portion is humongous as compared to the price. Even the drinks (jasmine tea) is full of natural fragrance and so thirst-rendering.

As someone with sensitive stomach and taste buds I can tell you they definitely didn’t put preservatives or whatever artificial flavourings like most restaurants would. The food is also freshly prepared for each customer not from some pre-made or packaged foods. Now this place truly feels like my second home other than my own kitchen!!! Highly recommend .
