The salsa was okay. I had the shredded beef taco, the lettuce was good, the beef wasn’t. My son had the chili rellenos platter, he said the rice had no flavor, the beans were terrible, and the chili rellenos tasted like they used velveta cheese, they weren’t good. We left with most of the food still on our plates.

Was traveling through and stopped to eat here. Food and service was good with reasonable prices. . I had the Pollo alla Diabla (deviled chicken) and it was good and spicy. Would stop again if traveling through. Also, it had that small town restaurant feel to it that I liked.

Omg I live in Ceres and never ate here until today with my friends. It was fabulous! Great service, reasonable prices and great food. Had 2 mango blended margaritas and they were so yummy. Our waitress was so on top of things and great personality. I’m definitely coming back here.

I didn’t even know this place existed until I was one day searching up Mexican food near me and happened to find this place. We tried the Asada fries and they were pretty good. My only issue is that they don’t serve authentic aguas frescas, but other than that it’s good.

We stopped by for lunch Wednesday at 1pm few people inside was very nice so was the waitress but the food seem like it was leftovers from a day before the plates were extremely hot where you couldn’t even touch them like if they just came out of an oven or microwave. The rice and beans was not fresh I had ordered chile relleno was filled nacho cheese my husband ordered steak fajita on skillet which did not look like fajitas just look like a piece of meat with thrown on vegetables the sides, guacamole and sour cream were lukewarm because the plates were so hot and they overcharged us for day old food if the food was better, no complaints very bad experience I do not recommend this Mexican Grill.

After 7 years in modesto i decided to try Alfonsos and I’ll never go back again. The waitres was very friendly but the food…..not good at all!!!!!
I had the chiles rellenos……nasty and believe me i know about chiles rellenos, the chiles they serve were like big stuffed jalapeños……I’m serious they’re nasty. I truly believe they serve can beans and the rice tasted old and hard. My grandson ask for the steak……no flavor at all, the “salad” it was only lettuce

I have been eating here since I was around 8 years old. The food is delicious and the servers are very nice and respectful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food. Enchiladas Mazatlan is an A+ Shredded beef tacos are an A+.
