I grabbed takeout for the first time from Cathay tonight. It was delicious. While I was waiting the young man at the counter had great manners. He was very polite to me and multiple guests I heard him interact with. I asked for a recommendation for an appetizer since I hadn’t eaten there before and he pointed me to the chicken curry pot stickers. They were unique and tasty. My wife and I had sweet and sour chicken, beef lo mein, bourbon chicken, an egg roll, and spring rolls. I liked the egg roll and spring rolls they were crisp and not soggy and they tasted good. This was a great first experience and reccomend trying if you haven’t yet!

The food was very good, friendly and attentive service.

Crab ragoon was excellent. I enjoyed the chicken on a stick would maybe want the price a little higher and include a few more.

I had triple delight which was a very generous portion. Shrimp was the best part of the dish!

My friend had the orange chicken. Delicious too.

So I ordered carryout on Christmas evening 5 or 6 O’clock.
Was told 35 minutes waited 40 minutes and headed out to pick our food up.
I arrive and they have a pretty good line.
I give them my name and they are baffled . They had 20 people in line waiting on food and they wrote no ones names down. So I waited another 25 minutes waiting and sorting through order receipts to find my order .They finally find it. I paid $110.00 with 13 % tip.
Take it back to our residence and it was not good at all. Very disappointed to say the least. The only saving grace was the young man was very nice that worked the counter. How about trying writing last names on your order slips. That might make it a bit easier guys and gals.
I feel cheated out of my money . I say if you are going to be open on Christmas have the staff and the ability to give people what they pay for or stay closed .
Never twice you got me once.

So, don’t ever go here in the last hour. The owner was rude. Even though, they were more than 40 minutes away from closing, she acted like it was a problem for me and my girlfriend to eat there She made a comment like “You can sit down, if you eat fast.”. What??!!! DON’T EVER EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT!!! If you want the food, get takeout because the service is absolute garbage!

There’s 1 reason to eat here, and it isn’t on the menu = ANDREW. Andrew is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all my questions patiently and intelligently. Food was above average. Egg roll is thin, not a lot of filling. The mustard and chilli paste ate homemade and excellent. Orange chicken has real orange, but a little too thick tasting. Basil frued rice uses hardly any basil. Tastes like the other fried rices. Lots of tables stay dirty, so not very appealing when you walk in. Andrew is genuine from the moment you meet him. He seems to be essential to Cathay Kitchen’s success.

I lived in China and been traveling the world, that’s why I can tell you that this food tastes as 100% Chinese food! It is soooo good! It became one of my favorite places.
Staff is really nice and the owner is great! I talked to her and she even shared with me a Chinese calendar!
The gyozas are amazing and the fried rice as well! I can’t wait to be back .
I also ordered to go and the service is really good!

Tea is amazing, order it

Found a hair in the food and when asked to return it had to drive all the way back. Bring all the food back. She sat and examined the entire bag to make sure all food was in there and then asked what color the hair was and then said well I just I don’t know if it’s ours or not and then eventually refunded the money. Lady was very rude

Unfortunately, this is a not a good review. In the past it would have been all fives…this time it was more like a 1. I found many large chunks of egg shell in my mei fun, and both dishes I got were supposed to be mild…like they were last time. They were both super spicy. Very disappointed!

The food is very tasty, the staff is very nice. When we entered the restaurant, there was some weird smell in the hallway that made me hesitate to enter, but some other customers told us that we were going to like it. And we did.
