The restaurant smelled amazing the moment we opened our car doors. We went inside and there was no host stand. Confused, we waited by the door to be seated. A breeze wafted through the restaurant from the open back door.

A woman soon approached and seated us. She brought us water and took our order promptly. Throughout our experience here she was very kind, helpful, and polite.

We waited for our food for around twenty minutes. The wait was definitely worth it. Our food was fragrant and delicious, and the portions were generous. I had the vegetable korma with garlic naan and my boyfriend had the mutter mushroom with Bombay naan. Everything tasted amazing.

Altogether an enjoyable experience. I’m also very glad they have so many vegetarian options. We will definitely be back!

Ordered an 80$ carry out order for my family on Mother’s day. The order consisted of 2 chicken tikka masala, 2 chicken Malai, and 8 naan. Paid EIGHTY dollars for LESS than low-tier quality food.
The Chicken Tikka Masala had little to no chicken in it, the gravy was runny, and it looked very unappetizing. We gave them a call about it, and they basically said that there was nothing they could do about it.
This isn’t our first time with an unpleasant experience at Bombay Grill either. We ordered Bombay Grill a couple months ago and had the same outcome, but we decided to give it another shot.
The results, unsuprisingly, were us paying 80$ for 30$ food at best with low portions, no chicken, runny gravy, and barbaric prices. Highly don’t recommend.

Need to change review on the basis of my recent review. Bad customer service and rude to Indian costumer’s knowing we are the people who frequently visit this place. The owner was taking our order it wasn’t that we were late we came at 9pm as the restaurant closes at 10pm, still we found him to be rude as gave us lassi without straw and giving us bad service as compared to others present in the restaurant with us. I would give them zero star as off our last thrusday buffet experience, we were served some chicken which was so dry and chewy which we felt it leftover from afternoon buffet. Don’t ever go for their buffet menu as it expensive and not worth, try to ordering for fresh food from the menu. It is one of the worst Indian restaurant in Alabama, the TV is never in sync for one time. Let them figure the their TV configuration first before you think to order from the restaurant or come to this restaurant !

Went here for dinner with a large group. The ambience is good. Food is great apart from the Soups. So avoid ordering soups(1 star less because of this). Loved both the vegetarian and nonvegeterian main courses. Apart from that felt the place is little short staffed. However the only staff present there, was very nice, friendly and explained everything what we asked for. I heard the buffet is good, We will visit here for the buffet soon and will update the review accordingly.

Food quality is average. Or I can say below average. The lamb biriyani and chicken vindaloo are especially not worthy to buy. They taste so salty. Vegetable samosa was good.

Overall I didn’t like the food. That’s why I didn’t take any photos.

I ordered the mixed vegetable curry with basmati rice. I was excited to find a vegan option on the menu. The mixed vegetable was pretty tasty despite the rice having a strand of hair. Customer service was not the best. Other customers were brought water to their tables although I entered the restaurant prior. Overall I give Bombay Grill a 5/10.

Food is so authentic. I’ve been going here for a while and they never disappoint. My go to is the tomato soup and Chicken Tikka Masala or Chicken Makhani.

Mother’s Day 2024, we had plenty of restaurant options but unfortunately decided to go with Bombay Grill. We ordered for 4 people and paid $82 and some change for it. We had 4 small bits and pieces of dry chicken in each of the four containers. The gravy was watered down to increase quantity. Ordered 8 full naans and received 8 mini naans “cut in half”. This was a special dinner for me, and the kids were upset because they were still hungry. Unhappy that their money was wasted on this food, I called the restaurant. The owner told me and I quote “we blend the chicken in the blender with the gravy that’s why it looks like there’s no chicken”. She told me to bring it back and they’ll put more chicken in it and send us on our way. Needless to say, we were not going to drive back 25 minutes after waiting on the food for an hour to get ready. No offer of any compensation for ruining our good night, or the lack of customer service and etiquettes. I have pictures to prove every word I said. There’s no hospitality in this hospitality business. Please be aware and be weary of spending yours or your kids’ hard earned money here. Beware!

This place has almost always been great while dining. Prices are more than fair and dishes full of flavor. For first time customers of Indian cuisine I personally recommend any of the curry’s, tikka masala, or for a milder taste, chicken dal on the menu. The naan is always fresh, hot, and fluffy. We always get the bread basket with our meals. Haven’t tried the buffet or plenty of other stuff yet, but I have certainly seen and smelled some other delicious stuff. The cooks and owners (if they aren’t the same) seem to care about quality for each dish.
