I love this bakery. I stop in pretty often for assorted pastries and within the last year have gotten all of our cakes from here. We’ve never been disappointed. A few months ago we got our son’s baptism cake here and last week we got his first birthday cake & decorated sugar cookies. We were thrilled with everything. I wish I took more/better photos of everything to show how talented they are. The process of ordering has also been super easy and the girls working are always very nice.

The Pastry Garden has been in Poughkeepsie for years, and there’s a reason people keep going back. Their cupcakes are fun and unique, especially the cannoli one. I bought the turkey rice crispy treats for Thanksgiving, and they were cute, delicious, and fairly priced at three dollars each. The macaroons are always great, and the pies looked so good that I found myself wishing I had ordered one.

We felt SO lucky that our venue had a deal with the pastry garden to include our wedding cake within the venue fees. The pastry garden truly did better than we could have expected! I forget the name of the lovely woman I had the pleasure of talking to but every experience I had with them was easy and helpful. She was upbeat and kind when I told her what samples we wanted, she also gave me some feedback on a few fillings I was indecisive about, and I’m so glad I went with her suggestions. I almost cried when I noticed the cake at my wedding, it was prettier than I expected and they did such a great job with the flower placement (see picture). We went with a white cake with white chocolate mousse and peanut butter mousse and WOW people raved to us about the cake! The venue sent us home with a few extra slices and we savored them, it was so delicious! We are planning on ordering some smaller cupcakes or tasting minis on future anniversaries because we were that obsessed with our cake.

Stopped on my way home from being down state for a few days. Well worth the stop even going out of the way. I got the cheesecake because it’s gluten free, so good I couldn’t wait to take a picture. Other gluten free options as well as vegan options too. My wife got a vegan cupcake that she’s raved about for days. Friendly kind and knowledgeable staff. I’m hoping to get to go again soon. Great bakery.

We had the best experience working with The Pastry Garden! They were absolutely incredible from start to finish! The cake tasting was such a fun part of the planning process. We brought our parents along and got to try over six different flavor combinations, which made it such a memorable day for all of us. On the wedding day, the cake turned out so beautiful – exactly what we had imagined, if not better. And the taste? Incredible. So many of our guests told us how delicious it was and that they wished they had grabbed a second slice! We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend!

I can’t recommend Pastry Garden enough for a cake for any occasion. They made my wedding cake & bridal shower cake, and it was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing- my guests loved it! But that isn’t even the best part about this wonderful place!
I arrived at a surprise birthday party and realized the cake hadn’t arrived yet. Even though the mix up was completely my mistake ( I communicated the wrong date) they went above and beyond to make sure the cake was delivered on time and looked absolutely beautiful! They truly saved the day and assured the day wasn’t ruined.
I cant thank Pastry Garden enough for their hard work, kindness and consistently beautiful cakes!

The Pastry Garden was the preferred vendor for wedding cakes for our wedding at Bird and Bottle Inn, and they did an incredible job with our wedding cake. We were looking for a three tiered retro heart shaped cake with cherries with light blue frosting, and they did such an unbelievable job – they made exactly what we requested. The cake got so many compliments at the wedding, and it tasted great, too! Would highly recommend for a wedding cake!

I had a custom cake order to make with a venue that works hand in hand with the pastry garden. They did not disappoint. I ordered a small sheet cake, mixed layers. Chocolate cake bottom, Chocolate fudge filling, vanilla cake middle, strawberry mousse filling then chocolate cake top, with a whipped cream frosting. We sent in an inspo pic, neutral colors, gold beads. They did an amazing job matching the photo, and the cake flavors worked so well, the cake wasn’t dry, and the fillings were absolutely perfect in sweetness. I would highly recommend this place.
