Service was great – Friendly, polite, quick, great communication. They have a rewards app.
The poboy fried catfish sandwich was good and the server let me substitute a cup of gumbo instead of waffle fries. Both were good. Even above average but not addictive. Well cooked well seasoned good flavor. I ate fresh gumbo in New Orleans at a French quarter poboy shop and it still haunts my memories for 45 years. This wasn’t close, just good.
The on-tap selection was large but very standard. They did have a fruity item and a hoppy selection but not my jam. So a midelo especially with a lime was decent, but would have preferred more local brewery unique optiins.
Bread pudding for desert was rich, creamy, carmally sweet and luscious smooth. Nice plus.
My overall experience was good and I would go back.
Our starter was the spinach articoke dip. It has red pepper flakes, which were spicy. I liked them, but be wary.
My entree was solid. I had the Ragin’ Red Fish with the crawfish cream sauce. It was cooked perfectly, flaky but not dry. The sauce was a great recommendation by our waitress. The whole dish could’ve used more salt, otherwise it was great.
My son had the fried shrimp off the kid’s menu. I wish I would’ve ordered shrimp after trying one of his! The batter they use is so good, it doesn’t taste pre-breaded from frozen. The waffle fries were solid.
My wifes frozen marg was tasty as was my michelada. I would try Walk-On’s again! Great place to watch ballgames and enjoy good food.
