I’ve dined at First Watch several times in other states but this location opened near me about two months ago. It’s surrounded by great brunch places in Boston but still attracted a crowd-40 min wait. I was lucky to snag a seat at the back counter. Tip: you can ‘join the wait’ remotely from their website. Who knew that turkey sausage gravy and a biscuit could be just as tasty as pork sausage? Also had a fresh fruit cup that was delish. And check out this lavender lemonade cocktail. Ordered ham and Gruyère sandwich to go- comes with a bowl of soup or side salad. I chose the tomato basil soup. It was fantastic on this snowy day. My two servers were pleasant and efficient- they made excellent recommendations to me and other diners. Everyone sitting at the back counter was friendly and chatty. So many great menu choices.

We came here from Sacramento, CA – exploring and found this gem. They welcome you with a smile and hospitality. The food, juice waters and service are great.

Advise – call in advance and avoid the wait but the wait was not bad approx 20 min, we strolled around outside until they messaged us to let us know table was ready.

Definitely will come back when in Boston or if they setup the same restaurant in northern CA – specifically – Sacramento, CA

Hello but sorry to say that this visit wasn’t good at all my omelet was over powered with egg and no real meat in it to substitute also my grits where a little lumpy. I have been to many First wat h location and was far better than this honestly. I also asked for no ham and they still put ham in the omlette, just disappointed as a whole. I expect better from first watch your whole experience is breakfast and that should be stellar.

This is the type of place I’m happy to see in the area. Great classic menu items but also options if you want something new. I got the Tri-Fecta with a banana granola almond crunch pancake and chicken apple sausage. Loved how they gave me the entire pot of coffee! It’s hard to come by bottomless these days. The staff was so friendly, shout out to my server, Nina! I will definitely be back.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant in Back Bay. It gives a family feel and has great service. Servings are plentiful, prices are great, and place has plenty of staff. The 2 critiques are i really wanted to sit at a table and I was asked twice do I want a hi chair. Also the payment system isn’t the greatest..it is cashless. I think some more signage would help patrons understand the preferred option

Nina at the breakfast bar is great! I will return.

We got here around 8am, the vibes were cozy and relaxed. The staff were super friendly and hospitable.

I got the breakfast power bowl which was delicious. The base was very plain while the sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms provided a nice boost of flavor with each bite. We also ordered a side of the million dollar bacon which was also delicious. It reminded me of a fancier dunks Sweet black pepper bacon. The bacon was soft and I’m def more of a crispy bacon girl but the flavor of bacon made up for the lack of crunch.

Overall a 10/10 experience. Thanks for the food!

I loved that there were menu items I’ve never seen in my dining out experience. Literally, yes, similar items; however, their take on traditional breakfast items was unique. Absolutely loved the Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast, the Hash was delicious and seasoned really well, the chocolate chip pancake was very very good, the seasonal fruit was a great mix of nicely ripened grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries, and the Purple Haze Juice I was concerned about, but it was delicious. We also ordered a side of Million Dollar Potatoes…so so good! All of the staff were great and attentive. Though not applicable to my party, I thought it was cool that their billing separates the bill by ‘seat’ with tax so if you are splitting the check, it makes it very easy to do. This was their second day of being open at this Boston location, but I hope more people discover it.

I’m from Colorado and have been going to First Watch for years with my family. I recently moved to Boston, so it’s great to have a slice of home in the Back Bay.

I love the Back Bay mural and the decorations. I think the interior of this First Watch feels a bit more upscale, and really fits the vibe of the Back Bay.

Having a more affordable breakfast/brunch option in the Back Bay was needed. While being more affordable, everything on the menu is very tasty, with option for everyone. The iced coffees are super tasty.

The service was great. I recommend going online and adding yourself to the waitlist. I live nearby, so when I saw my name getting closer, I started to walk over. For those driving, you could find parking or walk around Newbury/the Prudential while you wait. They also have seating inside while you wait as well.

Overall, very excited to have this new addition on Boylston Street. Be back soon!!!
