I had arrived home from and opened one of my pizza boxes, took a slice out and bit into it. I went to bite down and felt a hard piece while trying to chew. I pulled the object out and it was a shard of metal. A small piece of metal was sitting on my pizza. Anything could’ve happened if I had swallowed it. There needs to be more inspection as far as cooking the pizzas before giving them to customers, so health related problems don’t arise.

Placed an order online for wings. When I arrived my order wasn’t ready yet. I waited inside as I watched the employee by the name of Damian make all the orders himself. He was very patient but the greatest part was he was very sanitary while preparing orders. I watched this young man change his gloves multiple times while switching tasks. Pizza was great, unfortunately I had to get chewed out for ordering it. Ordered online delivery from here on a Saturday night (just traveling through so didn’t know their hours) – when I met the delivery man he informed me that I had ordered the pizza 2 minutes before closing and that he was the only delivery driver, had an hours worth of clean up at the restaurant, and then had a 45 minute drive home in the rain. Then he said “so thanks, enjoy your pizza mam.” Needless to say I did not enjoy it because I was sitting there eating it and feeling like a jerk for ordering a pizza.
Maybe don’t allow online ordering until the minute the restaurant is closing? They could have just cancelled my order – That would have been more preferable than this uncomfortable confrontation.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I got the Italian sub decided to take it to work with me only to bite into it and find a white plastic bread clip in my food. I called to explain my issue and the guy who answered the phone was rude. I would of been understanding maybe if handled better but now I’m p****ed. I work 11-7 smh just wanted something decent to eat.

Ordered the Pepperoni Extreme Pizza through Grubhub around midnight. When I arrived for pickup, the staff checked for the order and informed me that they made the wrong order (made a plain cheese pizza). Then they explained that they didn’t have the cup pepperoni necessary to make the pepperoni extreme pizza and asked me what I want to do. It would’ve been professional courtesy to call me and informed me of the situation (I had restaurants that called me before when they were not able to fulfill the order I made through Grubhub and asked if I want to change or cancel my order). We came to the resolution for them to make the pizza with the available pepperoni and waited 15mins or so.
The 12” hand tossed pepperoni extreme pizza was ok. If you have late night craving for pizza, you can settle for this since no other place opens pass midnight.

Hello, how are you all doing tonight. I am the owner of 7 CITY EATS and we are an anonymous food critic group based in the Hampton Roads Area that provide reviews and recommendations for chain & sole proprietorship restaurants in the 757. As for my experience with this particular Chanello’s Pizza establishment tonight, I can definitely say this was the absolute worst service, delivery, food presentation, and food quality I’ve ever had from any Chanello’s or Pizza Chain in the area. As for the pizza I didn’t get to take a picture of it because after the first bite it was put in the trash. Being that the pizza was very undercooked where you could still see the raw cheese grade and cold due the extende 1.5 hour deliver extension. As for the cinnamon twist as you can see they are burnt and the container that it was delivered in was basically a pan of oil and whatever other liquid which made them soggy. I’m very sorry and don’t mean to tarnish this establishments name but I’d much rather eat a Digiorno than spend another 25 dollars on this service. I’d advise the owner and management to take a deep look into your establishments quality of service for you never know whom may be ordering.

Yikes. Not that hard to make 1 pizza and 1 sub sandwich. While the employees themselves were friendly, the amount of time spent waiting for food ordered 10 minutes prior to my arrival is ridiculous. I’m not sure if the staff is “all there”. Management should look into the authority that oversees how things get done after midnight. I’m still here for an order of pizza,cinnamon knots and 1 sub sandwich. It’s now been 35 minutes smh.
