… People always say firehouse subs is expensive and compared to other places. They are a little more expensive. But in their defense, they use top quality BOARS head meats and cheeses.,… The quality can’t be beat or matched LOL. I like the way all the subs are crafted and put together.I go a little bit out of my way to get to the one I went to , it’s not far from work , but it is so definitely worth it.

Great experience every time I come here. The subs are hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Staff is friendly, service is quick, and the place is always clean. Definitely one of my go-to spots for a good sandwich.

Absolutely everything we ordered today was perfect. We ordered The Hook and Ladder. We like the way the subs come warmed. My granddaughter wanted to celebrate her 16th birthday here. Everybody loved it. Fire fighters and 1st responders get 10% off now.

The food and building itself is good. The issue lies with management.

Went in today to pick up an online order for 1:25 and instead of having my order at the to-go window it got forgotten because the manager was too busy absolutely tearing into two, who I assume are, newer hired gentlemen. The manager refused to give out a number to one of her superiors, as well as argued with another customer seated next to me. I will be finding a way to submit a formal complaint about that manager.

Other than that, most of the time my experiences here are very good. The food is peak, but they need to change that managers attitude. Seriously.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to report a very troubling experience that occurred at the Firehouse Subs location in Carlisle today. I visited the restaurant with my grandmother and my son, and what should have been a simple lunch turned into a very uncomfortable and disturbing situation due to the behavior of one of your employees.

During our visit, a female employee was reprimanding a coworker loudly and harshly for what she claimed he was doing incorrectly. This went on for at least 20 minutes. Her tone was demeaning, unprofessional, and clearly humiliating for the staff member involved. This type of conversation should have taken place privately, not in front of customers and not in such a disrespectful manner.

The situation became so uncomfortable that I eventually said, “This is very disturbing.” A gentleman and lady seated near us commented that they had been thinking the same thing, which shows this was not an isolated impression.

When I requested the manager’s information, the woman claimed she was the manager. However, the two male employees nearby shook their heads and clarified that she was not. I then asked for the owner’s number, and she told me it could not be provided. When I stated that I would contact corporate, she raised her voice again and told me to “just eat,” which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

I have never witnessed behavior like this from someone in customer service. Not only was I disrespected, but so was the employee she berated, as well as the surrounding customers who were forced to listen to her loud and inappropriate conduct. It appeared to stem from some sort of power struggle, and it created an extremely negative environment for everyone present.

I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly. No employee should be treated in such a manner, and no customer should have to experience an environment like this while simply trying to enjoy a meal. The food was amazing and the two gentlemen were absolutely accommodating!

Thank you for your attention to this issue. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding any actions taken. If you have further questions about this situation please give me a contact number and I will reach out to the owner of this franchise.

I was here recently on a drive from Virgina to Pennsylvania. My husband and I were on our way to an event and so figured stopping at a Firehouse Subs would be a relatively fast option.

Instead, it took 45 minutes to get the two sandwiches that we ordered. It seemed like it was everyone on staff’s first day – there was no efficiency or organization whatsoever. They were clearly prioritizing online orders over people who were waiting in person; this is what I was rudely informed of by the “manager” (very unpleasant) when I came in MULTIPLE times from the parking lot where I was waiting in my car. Putting aside the fact that prioritizing online orders is ridiculous when there are people waiting in person, there were multiple staff members standing around doing absolutely nothing while bread burned in the toaster.

My blood pressure was through the roof when I left this establishment and we ended up having to rush to get to our event. The sandwiches were halfway decent, though.

This place was a nice change from Subway, Jersey Mikes or Jimmy Johns. My partner got the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar brisket, which he said was delicious. I got the small Italian sub on wheat with an interesting creamy mustard dressing. (I learned that Italian subs taste much better on Italian bread.) Each sandwich comes in a wrapped dill pickle spear, which prevents any cross contamination. What I liked best about Firehouse Subs was their mission and the atmosphere of the shop. There is a definite nod to first responders, and that theme can be found throughout the shop. The kazillion flavored Coke machine was a delightful bonus. While sub shops seem to be a dime a dozen these days, the friendly service and the atmosphere puts this one a bit ahead of the pack. I hope they put one closer to my neighborhood.
