Small store front but has plenty of inside seating. They seem to do a brisk carryout business. We ordered the BBQ Smoked Beef Eye of Round $15.95 and Dinner Portion (2) Cabbage Rolls $16.95. Each came with bread and two sides. To me the cabbage rolls were under seasoned.

Cabbage rolls better than any that I ever got from the sauerkraut festival. Homemade pies and desserts are so good. The fried chicken was crispy outside and moist inside. Homemade mashed potatoes, not freeze dried. Down home atmosphere.

was flavorful, and the BBQ sauce complimented it perfectly.
But the Cabbage Roll stole the show!
The tender cabbage wrapped around a savory filling was already amazing, but the tomato sauce took it to another level!
Rich, almost addictive and perfectly balanced, I’m still thinking about it.

Excellent bbq in the north. We are from Florida and Georgia. So we judge bbq seriously. The meal was excellent.
I jad the ribs and chicken bbq meal. Their bbq sauce is homemade and very good. It was a sweet red sauce that was not overly sweet where you can’t eat more. This meal is NOT a first date meal. You wear that sauce. Haha the steak fries were perfect side, allowing you to soak up the sauce. The baked beans were good, but nothing to make a special trip for.
My wife for the cabbage rolls. She had these as a child and they took her back to her mommas kitchen. I’ve never had them and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor they had.
She also got the hot slaw as a side. This vinegar bomb of a side was so good. We laughed at one another as the overpowering vinegar flavor and smell made you involuntarily cough. But man, they were great. I don’t even like slaw traditionally.

The service and food at this restaurant are ALWAYS off the charts amazing. It’s the closest thing to a home cooked Southern meal I have found in the Miami Valley.
Tonight my wife and I had broasted chicken and french fries. No surprise to me, the food came out piping hot it was absolutely delicious. We did have a new server tonight, which is a typical. But she was amazing just like every other person who has ever took the time to help us in this restaurant.
I cannot recommend them enough. We’ll be back soon! THANK YOU!!!

We had gotten carry out pork chops before from them so knew it was good… absolutely delicious cabbage rolls!! With mash+ corn casserole…. SO good!

3/11/2020 We have K D’s Kettering Bar-B-Q probably about 3-4 times a year and we’ve been going here over 15 years! We love there food especially their ribs and all of their sides too, the house salad dressing is sweet and sour and it’s delicious. I will say that the restaurant is small and doesn’t have many tables so plan accordingly. We usually get takeout orders. K D’s always has fresh pies and desserts on the front counter. They also have a small selection of beers but do offer domestic/craft and import bottles.

Every single time that my wife and I have been privleded enough to come to this restuarant the food has been stupendous… I love their broasted chicken.. it’s by far and away the best in DAYTON, OH!!! Tonight we added fried shrimp to the mix… I’m glad we did… it was absolutely amazing!!!
The only thing that can over shadowed the phenomenal food… is how attentive, knowledabke and kind the employees are to everyone that walks through the door!!! I love coming here!!! Thanks again for another amazing experience!!! We’ll definitly be seeing you soon!!!
