Cosmo and Gin and Tonic were perfectly made. Our waiter, Zacharia, was wonderful. Be sure to stop by this gem if your in Westchester!
The pollo martini gets my highest compliment ever- the instant reorder. I’ve done this 3 times in my life where my wife and I have liked something so much, we get another on the spot.
Gnocchi were very good and salad was simple but very good. Zach and Jimmy were attentive and made you feel like regulars immediately. Will become a regular now that we live in the area but this place is worth a drive for. Enjoy.
Kenny the owner always remembers us , although we’ve been here three times in two years. The rest of his staff what can happen I’ve noticed have had the longevity here… Jimmy has the crew, Toni, Zach, and Kehvan, who was our waiter for all attentive to our needs. It’s very rare that you have a place where not only are the people great but the food is incredible and the overall environment positive. Bring your friends… Have drinks… And enjoy yourselves… Because you won’t regret it.
Sapori in White Plains blew me away.
The food was out of this world !! The baked clams and Caesar salad were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The garlic bread was homemade, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Every bite was perfection. Can’t wait to come back!
The grilled octopus appetizer was probably a four-star dish, and the portion wasn’t even close to the price point. But again, the level of service allowed me to overlook that. In addition, one pet peeve I have is the nickel-and-diming, like charging $3.50 for a Diet Coke filled with ice, needing a refill within two minutes because the glass was mostly ice, and then being charged for each soda. When the waiter sees that the soda is empty with the first sip, within the first 30 seconds, they shouldn’t have to ask if you want another. They should just bring it to you, knowing there was barely anything in the glass to begin with. I was literally embarrassed for the waiter because I knew it wasn’t his fault—it was the bartender packing the glass with ice, thinking customers wouldn’t notice they weren’t actually getting any real product. There’s really no other way to put it. I never mind paying for great food, but seven dollars for what essentially amounts to half a can of Diet Coke is obnoxious.
I asked for the Chilean sea bass without any salt, but my request was ignored, and the dish came out salty, which was another issue. However, the waiter was absolutely spot on, which helped absorb that disappointment. All in all, while I’m giving this a five-star rating due to the outstanding service, I would never go back. It’s just too expensive for what you get. I can get the same level of food by driving two miles down Central Avenue. But let me reiterate that the service is exactly what you would expect in an old-world, high-end Italian restaurant, so be prepared to pay for the labor cost, not the food.
P.S. Love the ability to pay with the QR code right at the table!
I will definitely be back to celebrate another birthday!
