Update again 10/12/24… food was excellent, but they charge to share food, 2.00, didn’t know that…. Update 7/22/23……so dinner was good, but i tasted the meatball in my husband’s spaghetti, and it tasted bad. Our server was great…..end of second review. Everything was great, fresh food and good service (Diana). Getting to sit took a long time, people sitting and talking and then tables not being bussed right away. But once we sat it was all good

The food here is easily 5 stars. I had a traditional dish and my companion had one of the specials. Both were standouts. The service, however, was less than stellar. The server was inattentive at best and rude at worst. We were planning to order dessert to top off our delicious meal, but the server actually walked away from our table not once, but twice to attend to other things before we could place our order. We finally decided to skip dessert altogether and get the check. There was an incorrect charge on the check, but it wasn’t worth trying to hold the server’s attention long enough to correct it. I would still say the meal overall was excellent, but service not so much.

DONT COME HERE! DONT BE FOOLED! Our server was nice, it was her second week there, we don’t blame her for nothing. However, when we got our meal after about 45minutes of waiting, the food had come out bland. We had decided to come out here in the first place after seeing the pictures on Google of the food, everything looked pretty good. What had caught our attention was the shrimp scampi photo. We looked at the menu photo and thought the prices were decent. HOWEVER, once we received our food the, shrimp scampi was nothing like the photo, and it only had 3 shrimps instead of 6. It was also $25, instead of under $20 like we had thought. Worst of all…it was bland…it tasted like pasta waster with 3 shrimps on top. We explained to the server that our food was bland, and she told the lady that had been chit chatting at the bar the whole time. I showed her what I thought we were gonna get based on the image of it on their Google search and she said “That’s not ours” I then showed her that it came from THEIR restaurants photos, and she said “It must had been from the old owner, and believe me honey, theirs wasn’t that good either” before chuckling and walking away. The service before that had been great…but her response just ruined the whole experience for us. Then the server suggested we put marinara sauce on it, made it less bland but still not good. For $25, you can make it 100% better at home and not have to deal with snarky comments. Don’t be fooled by the images or the price because according to that lady it all used to be under the old owners, looks like the old owner knew what they were doing compared to to the new one.

Absolutely amazing spot for American and Italian fare. Highly recommend their seafood New Orleans pasta (ask for it spicy and extra creamy). They serve the BEST Italian seafood pasta in all of richmond.
Portions are generous and they do not skimp on the size/quality of the seafood and meat. Their salad is fresh and never soggy or have that “out of a plastic bag from the store” look or taste.
Their subs, sandwiches, fries, pizzas, etc are all tasty and not greasy.
The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The chefs are friendly and are very accommodating. (09/2022)

The food is just as delicious, service is still amazing, the bread is fresh and hot , the seafood New Orleans pasta (and just about every seafood pasta on their menu) IS PERFECTION. Shaun in the kitchen is absolutely amazing and everyone (even my picky mother and daughter) loved their food. My mom raves about Shaun’s cooking.
I highly recommend this restaurant. An absolute gem in west end RVA.
No other Italian restaurant in the city or innsbrook or anywhere can come close to the taste and portions of little Angela’s.

Not enough servers for the occupancy, only one server for the entire restaurant, food seems to take a while, as we ordered stromboli and the baked lasagna. The standard lunch meal does not come with a salad. The portions are as told, very generous in size and smells delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant enough. May warrant another visit.

I am a new customer to this restaurant, however, the first impression was great. I am very familiar with Italian food and “The Italian Food” from the states is far from what is in Italy, yet this restaurant has something close to it. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very pleasing, relaxing and makes you enjoy the food you get. Also, they have good espresso coffee, not many restaurants have something like this around here. Overall, a great experience, I would recommend it to people at least to try it out.

I’m a foodie! I’ve been to this restaurant twice, first time was amazing, second time was my worst experience so far out of the restaurants I’ve been to.I was told there’s new management. I went to have lunch at 2 pm with my girls on Valentine’s Day, we were 17 women. We knew the wait was gonna be long but not that long, since there were only 2 other tables with 2 ppl each. The waitress was very rude, loud & mean, took her forever to bring the menus(we had to ask for them), didn’t have her name tag on so don’t know what her name is, messed up all our orders & gave different plates to different ladies. Which made our wait even longer to get the orders right. I ordered clam sauce with linguini(pic attached), it was so disgusting and liquidy that I only ate 2 forks and asked for something else(she said that she was gonna charge me for it anw). Instead I ordered Greek salad which came with with grilled chicken & shrimp & vinaigrette dressing, and after a long wait(all the ladies had done eating but me), she brought me a different salad that had different ingredients, no shrimp & with ranch, & kept on insisting that’s what I ordered. Then she said she’ll add the shrimp & get me different dressing & finally brought me a vinaigrette one but I didn’t get the shrimp until after I was almost done with my plate. We asked for napkins/tissues about 3 times but kept on dismissing us, we asked her the 4th time, she said they didn’t have any napkins, they’re out, she can only get us the cloth ones(which smelled terribly). How can u not have napkins at 3 pm on a valentine’s day?! I have to mention that the manager was there, saw everything and didn’t say anything or apologized to any of us for what happened. We asked for separate checks, she brought one check with everything on it saying that because the orders were messed up, they had to make more food(which wasn’t our fault) so the manager told her to make one bill and add a discount(which was barely anything). We had to split the check between us equally($24 each) which isn’t fair bcs some of us didn’t order that much but still had to pay it.

Service was great and food was fresh. We had crab with spinach, mushroom ravioli, chicken parm, and crab pear pillows. Everything was delicious and rich with great ingredients.
