The fish and chips is so good even my autist approved and asked for an extra order! Then grab a Clam Chowder to go

Just got back from a trip to the Oregon coast where they eat a lot of fish n chips. This place is right next to Harbor Freight Tools and I was craving fish n chips badly so i ordered the Big Ben Special from here. The fish n chips and tartar sauce were good
This place is a vibe for sure, and has been here for a looong time. I feel like you can film a movie scene in here. Hole in the wall mom n pop restaurant. Don’t hesitate to stop by. Support your local small businesses.

I was next door at Harbor Freight and I could smell something delicious coming from Michael’s. I decided to try the FISH AND CHIPS with homemade tartar sauce. The fish is in a tempura batter and I think it is cod. The fish was delicious and a good price. The chips (fries) were good but kind of average compared to the very tasty fish. Very friendly service and the dining area is very clean. I will be back to try more items (clam chowdwe). Overall, it isn’t a restaurant you go to for the “atmosphere” but for tasty food at a good price.

Only 2 tables inside. Greeted by a cute little Asian man who quickly took our order.
Ordered the 2 fish plate with chips. Sodas are in a can so I stuck with water.
Ready in 15 minutes. It came out piping hot. Not too many fries but fish was healthy portion. Extra charge for tartar sauce but you have to have it!
January 2024 price for 2 piece fish & chips with tartar sauce was $7!
Give it a try!! Oh, and they also have Chinese food!

I am so mad there is a terrible language barrier all of a sudden he charged us 82.11 which was way to much and when i explained to him we dudnt order the things he charged us for he would not refynd the money and we had not yet got our food. I will never ever eat here again! 1.79 plus tax for a can of soda and 1.79 for tarter sauce and 1.79 for shrimp sauce that should come with the meal. I asked for only two cream wontons and he charged us for 2 large orders of them! Wow and i use to come here often . Never ever again

Nice guy. Too bad the fish & chips are a rip. If you remove all that thick breading, the Fish Strip was about the size of a finger. Barely, enough tartar sauce to do the job. And, yes. Sauce is an added charge. The meal was fresh and hot. Spend over $10. And, walk away hungry. I even gave him a tip before the food was ready.

Very sweet man making good food, is it the best fish and chips I’ve ever had no, is it the best I’ve had for such a low price yes. It’s better than ones I’ve paid 3x the price for. Definitely coming back it is very good. And to who ever complained he charges for tarter sauce remember you are paying $7 for 3 big pieces of fish and fries so yeah pay the extra dollar. The food is ok 3.5 it of 5 first of all, I go here and order quite a bit every time, so the owner/ operator Michael tries everything to charge you extra and I mean that literally,he charges for the tarter sauce even if you got your order that supposed to come with it. if he could he would charge you extra for the napkins. So always ask how much is each item you buy and ask for your receipt do not hesitate at all is your money. The fish and chips are good the shrimp also good.
