There are many new restaurants in town but The Sandwich Market is an institution for Elizabeth City and a must Go when you are in the area. They may look simple but they are definitely made with love and you can taste it!!! A normal place for locals and a great stop destination for travelers!!! The decoration of the restaurant is something different but amazing! I go to EC at least three times per year to visit and each time this must go place for me. The staff is super friendly, they bring up the food to your table and they are just the best people to get food from. I have tried several of their sandwiches and none of them have disappointed me. I have gone with at least 4 other people and all of them loved their sandwiches!!! I highly recommend it

Drive thru and dining room are available. I chose the drive thru, ordered the smoked turkey panini, asked to hold bacon, cheddar and mayo. Paid via Google pay, tap to pay. Young lady asked me to drive around and drive thru 10 minutes later since there were other cars vehicles behind me in the drive thru. Drove around the building, parked in the parking lot, waited 10 minutes, did the drive thru again, young lady remembered my order, she gave me a brown paper bag with the warm sandwich inside along with chips and a pickle. All the food tasted delicious!
Highly recommend this. Hopefully they will invest in a concrete parking lot.

I tried The Sandwich Market for the first time today. I ordered the turkey club and potato salad. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I love the drive thru option when you have a little less time. I will definitely be back soon!

The blondie is my favorite so good ! Wish they added more meat but besides that everything is awesome.

Found this great place on Google maps on our first visit to Elizabeth City. We loved it! Staff was so nice and friendly. Service was great Food was just the appropriate amount so we didn’t feel overstuffed. The iced tea was delicious as was the turkey Reuben and Caesar wrap. Prices were just right and it’s nice you get a bag of chips with the sandwiches. So glad we found this restaurant. We will definitely come back again.

I’ve had multiple negative experiences especially with the owner. I know retail is difficult, but I’m not rude so here’s an idea DON’T BE RUDE TO ME. Also, when you’re handling me back my debit card do not put your hand on my car. It’s not worth it just to get a sandwich and some off brand chips….. I’ll be going to Firehouse Subs for my sandwich ( it’s about the same price), or I’ll be going to my kitchen and not some middle aged old guy with too much time on his pathetic little hands. Learn to interact with people and maybe open your place again and maybe you’ll do a little better next time.
