If you are looking for true bbq this is your place! I’m from Texas and it’s been hard to find good bbq, especially brisket in the upstate. This is by far one of the best if not the best I have found in the whole upstate and I would say one of the best anywhere! I came across them just driving and saw a line and thought I had to try it and let’s just say I’m glad I did!! The service is phenomenal and the food is amazing! The brisket has a perfect mix of lean meat and fat, the bbq beans have the perfect kick to them and the potato salad is sooooo good! The amount of food you get for the price is also great, I can normally eat two meals from the one plate. If you haven’t tried it or are on the fence then try it, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!

The food is AMAZING and the owner is so sweet. We had the pork plate with Cole slaw and baked beans and I tried the potato salad. It was yummy! It’s a lot of food so go HUNGRY.

The food was AMAZING! I got the angus brisket and my husband got the pulled pork, both were so juicy and tender! The sides were great! (We got Mac&Cheese, Green Beans and Coleslaw). Got the Angus beef brisket, green beans and coleslaw. This food was so delicious, tender ,juicy goodness. Was my first time. So sorry I missed the mac n cheese but, they were gonna have more ready in an hour. Which probly speaks to how good that is. I will try to get that next time. If you haven’t been to this place yet, GO! Immediately, get some for later if your not hungry now. Thankyou to the chef and the staff! So nice and clean. I cannot wait to share this food with my husband when he wakes up from 3rd shift. I would add photos but, the smell alone had me messing up the plate before I even thought about it! Y’ALL get some! Husband is lucky there’s some left. Lol! (3 hours later) I should have got the banana pudding.

There were several people waiting when we pulled into the parking lot and my son told me they are really good so there’s always a wait for the food to be prepared. We walk up and the sweet young lady advised us their generator cut out so they were having issue with recording orders. We were just fine and patiently waited. After taking the order I found they didn’t have any pulled chicken so I switched to brisket. Kinda glad cause it was really yummy! My son ate almost all of my green beans so you know they were good for a teenager eating veggies that weren’t even his… We ate a little and then went to see a movie so I had leftovers the next day and they were still delicious! Recommended!

Update 2/6/25 Uber CONSISTENT!!! I couldn’t get pics this time, I dug in too damn fast. I’m in my happy place with McCoy’s, It’s HOT, It’s FRESH, It’s SPARTANBURGS BEST, even though their food truck is in Lymon on Route 29. Thank God for McCoy’s Smoky Goodness, they get busy fast, so I recommend you call or get there early before they run out. A customer for life & McCoys portions are generous, and very professionally ran! The RIBS & BRISKET so good, no cap! The Chicken is Smoky, tender & seasoned very well. The sides complement the BBQ well, but the ⭐ is the Smoky Mac & Cheeese, Soft N Tender Fries, smoky beans, and don’t forget the fresh Banana pudding. See y’all soon!!!
