Overpriced and pretentious, $22 for two 12 oz drinks. Now each had an espresso shot added so that accounts for $4 but I still hit checkout thinking for that price I’d have an orgasmic experience. However as expected from the snotty staff, the drinks were watery and can tell the espresso machine is not regularly cleaned from the funny taste. $5 blueberry muffin was uninspiring.

The prices are extremely high ($8ish for a latte). The staff friendliness can be hit or miss. The bathrooms regularly need attention. The chairs and tables feel very outdated and in poor condition. The things I do appreciate about this coffee shop are the toy box for the kids, the Tiramisu is lovely, and the fact that they are open on Sundays.

Had a fantastic experience! Got a wonderful Anaerobic Natural as a pour over and was super impressed. Autumn was super knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about specialty coffee. She also explained that Mudhouse has a lot of opportunities for employees to grow in their craft and make long lasting careers in coffee which is super encouraging to hear!

As a Marketing Director for a coffee shop, I can say that this is the type of experience that truly sets shops apart from the competition.

My experience at the Downtown Cville location was just as pleasant. Looking forward to coming back next time I am in the area.

Stopped by for a coffee and was delighted to see homemade syrups and unique coffee offerings. My caramel breve was perfect—balanced amount of espresso with the caramel and steamed just the way I prefer. The barista was great to chat with too, very friendly! Also snagged a piece of flourless chocolate cake and it too was amazing. They had a nice selection of pastries and treats left late in the afternoon to choose from. Would absolutely return here!!

I gave this place a try due to good reviews but ended up very disappointed. Across the board from coffee to food they are WAY overpriced compared to the quality. The only vegetarian sandwich ended up being a $15 slice of cheese on wonder bread it was pretty ridiculous. Unfortunately cannot recommend this spot. I left hungrier (and with a much lighter wallet) than when I came in.

My first thought when I entered Mudhouse was that the vibe is e everything I look for in a coffeehouse. Energetic, and eclectic with high ceilings and plenty of space for community, I immediately felt at home. The coffee and burrito were delicious. I spent hours there with my daughter and will definitely make it a must-stop when I’m in the area again.

Great coffee, attentive staff, wonderful atmosphere. Facility and furnishings are very well done. Very relaxing laid back atmosphere. Pastry selection a bit light but what the have is high quality. Wish this business was closer to home but will definitely patronize when back in the area.

I spent the better part of Labor Day Monday morning meeting with one friend at 9:00 a.m. and then another at 10:30. I started off with a drip coffee which was perfectly fine and an espresso that was delightfully pulled by be talkative and charming barista. I’m typically easy to please when it comes to breakfast items but I do appreciate a well-prepared pastry. The lemon bar I had that morning was exquisite.
I followed that with a cup of herbal turmeric tea. We found a couple of generously size leather chairs near the front of the store and enjoyed being up in the window. It’s a stunning building and it’s period features combined with the Mudhouse flare for decorating make it a perfect spot to meet friends or hang out on ones own.

You need to try a mudhouse coffee shop! The Baristas were super friendly, the atmosphere was quaint, and the coffee was A1. The barista recommended their speciality brown sugar latte which did not disappoint. They also offer bakery goods and souvenir-like merchandise! The prices were also very fair.

I stopped by today on a trip to Crozet today for a drink and a snack! I was pleased to see such a cute, quaint, brick building in the pictures I found on Yelp, so I knew I wanted to stop by!

There were large, brightly lit, cases holding tons of goodies and sweets! I noticed some pretty interesting snacks, desserts, and even sandwiches! They all looked SO yummy, and I decided to go with the mini Strawberry Banana Loaf. The loaf was the perfect size, super moist, and I could taste bites of the real fruit inside. Delicious!

To drink I ordered a dirty chai on ice with oat milk which always also delicious and had a great chai flavor! In addition to the crafted beverage, I purchased a Pear Kombucha from a very local place called Blue Ridge Bucha.

Everything was super delicious, the employees were amazingly awesome and efficient, and there is PLENTY of ample room to hang out, or meet up! And even bigger perk is after you enjoy your snack and/or beverage you can walk right across the street and take a picture with awesome artwork!
