I came to Astor after a long day of work to eat and decompress, and I was greeted with so much hospitality and kindness. I was gifted lentil soup along with a complimentary pastry to eat with my espresso. This experience was one of my favorites. It was such a blessing to experience the kindness of others in such an unexpected way. The falafel pita was so fresh and delicious, the fries were just right. The espresso had such a smooth flavor as well. I’m very impressed and will definitely return in the near future.

The service was AMAZING! The owner was very kind, told us all about his kitchen, and he shared free food (the date pastries are delicious, and lentil soup to warm a cold night). Besides the hospitality, the food was warm and delicious. There is plenty of indoor seating for large groups, the portions are HUGE (my shawarma platter is enough for 3 meals!), and it was priced very affordably. An added bonus: their rice pudding was fluffy and delicious.

It was our first time here (my husband and I) and we absolutely loved this small restaurant. The food was perfectly cooked. I love the service too they gave us a complimentary appetizer of their house made bread and 2 spread which were both outstanding. I had the chicken schwarma bowl and my husband had their lamb chops. Best lamb chops I’ve had in a while. Perfectly cooked and the taste was amazing (not gamey)!

So glad they have reopened after a post covid shutdown. Tried the new menu last night & loved it. Meet the new boss. He & his family were warm & inviting. We ordered the lamb chops & the steak & cheese. Both were excellent. I wasn’t expecting much from the steak & cheese and was very pleasantly surprised. The nicest surprise was the over sized roll that it came on. The bread tasted like it was made on site that afternoon. I have no idea if that is the case but it was really good! The lamb cops were cooked perfectly, extremely tender & tasted great. Can’t wait to go back.

Had a fantastic dinner at Astor with my fiancé! The service was excellent, friendly, and welcoming. We were treated to complimentary bread and hummus while they finished a fresh batch of rice. The lamp shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the mixed grill was perfect for trying a variety of meats. Generous portions, delicious food, and a great location. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be going back!
