The restaurant is small, mostly filled with regulars and big family groups. Without a reservation, it’s nearly impossible to walk in during peak hours.

Our savvy friend, who knows the place well, had pre-ordered two signature dishes:
1. Winter melon soup served in the melon itself, and
2. Duck stewed with taro and preserved plum.

It was my first time trying winter melon soup served this way! the melon was beautifully grown, and the filling of pork and shrimp was generous. Even after the four of us each had several bowls, there was still enough left to pack three full boxes to take home.

As for the duck stew, my favorite part was the taro — perfectly soft and creamy — and the bok choy layered underneath, soaked through with all that rich broth.

The chopped-chili fish head wasn’t spicy at all; those red peppers were just for show. Still, it was a great dish with rice.

The fuzzy melon clay pot was a friend’s pick , a little light in flavor for us, but very refreshing. And the pea shoots were fresh, tender, and fluffy, a big thumbs-up!

Each person got a complimentary dessert of ginger tofu pudding which is an interesting idea, though I still prefer red-bean double-skim milk pudding.

We also ordered a lobster yee mein to go : takeout is $5 cheaper. Pro tip: order it as soon as you sit down since they only make 20 portions a day.

Next time, I’m coming back to try their salted-egg-yolk pumpkin shrimp balls.

We pre-ordered the king crab, and the owner recommended three different ways to enjoy it.

First: Steamed crab legs with vermicelli and garlic. The crab was incredibly fresh and juicy, and even the garlic carried a hint of natural sweetness.

Second: Golden salted egg yolk crab with rice cakes. Unlike the usual versions you find elsewhere, this one was rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying — the kind of flavor that lingers in your memory.

Last: Crab shell fried rice. A perfect ending — aromatic, full of umami, and absolutely unforgettable.

Service is warm and courteous. Highly recommended and we definitely gonna visit here regularly.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh and flavourful, and the staff were very nice and welcoming. I especially recommend the sweet and sour pork and the eggplant in garlic sauce — perfection! And I definitely can’t forget about the oysters — incredibly fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

We did book a table in advance, waited no time seating at all. Not a big restaurant, but comfortable. Service is good, food are reasonable prices and tasty. Worth going.

Went here for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with the service, staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, was cooked quickly. Probably some of the best chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Food was seasoned to perfection, and was not too salty at all. Waitress even changed our plates as we were eating. Highly recommended, and will definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend the lobster, typhoon style. And beef short ribs with honey glaze.

Came here for Grandfathers 92nd bday.
Service was way better than expected and the ladies were very helpful!

Food was fast to come out and delicious. Our favourites were the S&S pork, corn and egg fish dish, lobster, and Peking duck with wraps. Hofun was sold out

Very affordable and good for large party of 13 adults. Will return to try their hofun

Had their seafood & duck set meal. A very traditional Hong Kong style meal for 8 people.

Service was decent during peak dinner hour with a full restaurant.

One of the main reasons I chose this restaurant was the old school look of neon paper postings of their menu on the walls. Reminded me of classic Chinatown décor!

Once the first dish was served had to eat fast to clear space for the rest of the courses.

Price was very affordable compared to set dinners at newer establishments. More than enough food to feed 10 with leftovers to take home

Would definitely return for more family dinners.

Be sure to order your dinner ahead with booking so they can have everything prepared.
