What to say about the Brown Cow? The waitress was very nice. Sadly, she was also the cashier and seemed a bit overworked. The two of us dining there both had burgers.
They patties were large and cooked to perfection, but the salt content keeps me from giving them higher. Ever since COVID, my ability to detect saltiness has lessened, and these were boderline too salty to eat.
The tortilla chips they brought out were stale , almost to the point of being chewy. The salsa was good, but you only get about two tablespoons of it so dip sparingly.
The atmosphere gets a 3 because the place just looked cluttered. It did not look filthy or unhygienic. It just looked like someone should take a couple of hours and put stuff where it goes.
I won’t recommend to try or to stay away from here.

If your idea of a good time is to eat in an old warn out building that has a funky smell, then you’re at the right place. The bathroom is old and smelly from mold, maybe. The booths are homemade and hard for my 5’8″ 200lb self to get in and out of. The table has a film on it from what years of wiping with dirty rags? I’m a little scared to eat here, but let’s see what the food tastes like. Food was about what I expected, not very good… had the machaca.

Great service, so friendly, clean environment, food wasn’t great and the country fried steak tasted like it was cooked in grease that has never been changed….yuck. price was great.

They have a good breakfast buffet for American or Mexican tastes. The biscuits are wonderful! They will also make fried eggs and /or pancakes to go with the buffet. The staff was very friendly. They even help celebrate special occasions with a live brown cow

I found this place driving through town. We were hungry and thought a small hole in the wall might be better than a commercial chain. I was wrong. We always split our meals, and this was no exemption. The staff was nice enough but the food not so much. Ordered the Machaca plate. The meat was tough and very gristled. Plus we sat at a table and had to smell the Sulphur odor coming from the restroom as someone on another review mentioned. The place was run down but it wouldn’t have mattered if the food had been good.

Stopped here because we love hometown restaurants over chains while traveling. We had their breakfast buffet, which was quite filling. The pancakes were really good. Quite a decent meal for the value. Great place and great people.

Great Tex Mex with a homey atmosphere! Love the freshly made chips and salsa, and the cheese-smothered burrito really hot the spot.
