Went with a group after church. Service was good for our big table. I ordered from the menu and was pleased with my 5oz sirloin. A nice salad came with the meal. Most ordered the buffet. A nice buffet but most complained about some part of their meal. It’s hard to please everyone.

First time I’ve been in a Ponderosa in a long time. They have changed a lot since the last time I ate at 1. The Experience today was great nowadays so many of the restaurants have buffets and salad bars along with their regular ordering menu. They had an outstanding Buffet and salad bar. I was very satisfied with my dinner with a service and a courtesy of the people.

Sadly, Ponderosa in Harrisburg use to be better than it is now. Now, the food is of poor quality. The service from the servers is still friendly and usually prompt, but the food is not worth the expensive price. The buffet choices are pretty much the same every time you go. Our last visit was about a month ago, and this time we probably won’t be returning. We’ve given them more than one chance to improve, but I think each visit only got worse instead of better. Too bad the food quality isn’t worth it anymore.

Would give them 0 stars if I could. First we went to try and find a clean booth, all but 2 were dirty, but a group of 3 waitresses stood around chatting. We got there before the large influx of bowlers and the little bit of food left on the buffet was dried and hard! Waited for something new to be brought out and it never was. By this time a large group of bowlers showed up, not sure what they could’ve possibly put on their plate. We waited a little more, still no food brought out. Nothing was left for dessert but the crust of bread pudding that was probably sitting there all day and hard cookies. Spoke with the shift supervisor before we left, all I got was a sorry we had a lot of people. We got there before the group and there still was only dried up nasty food….. Will not be back!

My experience was great.
I had the buffet which is available with or without a sirloin steak and well worth the price and the buffet consist of quite a few recipes for chicken, potatoes, pasta dishes, make your own salad bar and multiple kinds of pie and pastry as well as jello and puddings.

Went back next day. It was so good we went back next day. Good homecooked style comfort food. They only have chicken as meat selection, now sometimes they will have out a meatloaf and pull pork but basically just chicken and tons of sides to choose from. You can add a steak for 6$ more. As of today $11.99 per adult for dinner and 8-12yrs is $6.99 3-7 yrs old $5.99 and pop is $2.99

Hard to find a Ponderosa anymore! The restaurant is in ok shape,food was average. We got buffet and it had an average variety of items-not much beef which a steakhouse probably should have. Good price,$9 I think. Decent old school experience.

What happened to this place? I remember coming here as a kid and the buffet was huge and steaks were cooked to perfection. Today they want to charge you an additional $9 for a steak and the buffet has gone down to maybe five edible choices.
