The staff was friendly and efficient. The decor was interesting especially the picture with the two girls and the dog. I think many will agree that it could be a little disturbing.
It is not inexpensive but worth it.
FYI: the waitress said they get busy for Valentine’s dinners, so book your reservation!
Fantastic meal, drinks, and service! John was very attentive to our needs and even was able to bring us a salad not on the menu to accommodate us. I had the scallops and risotto (see picture) and they were top notch. Hubby had the rack of lamb and was very pleased.
Wonderful dining experience, would absolutely recommend to anyone!
• The kitchen missed several items from their orders.
• we ran out of water and had to fetch our own pitcher.
• Cocktails/drinks ran out with no refills offered.
• Servers provided almost no check-backs; the table had to flag them down for any attention.
• Despite not receiving some ordered items (and missing a dessert), they were charged for the missing items plus an extra dessert.
Adding to the frustration, a back-of-house manager came out and yelled at the adjacent table for supposedly being rude to their server—despite that table also waiting forever for food and needing to leave after a drawn-out food delay.
This three-hour ordeal for what was ultimately mediocre dinner, is something I would not recommend.
I had the Steak Frites and the reduction was fantastic with it, the truffle fries were delicious. The steak was tender and moist and so easy to cut into even with a regular dinner knife.
My mother had the chicken wild rice and we all were amazed by it; we’re not sure what they used in it, but we think it might have been marsala which worked well with the chicken. She also had a pan roasted chicken, Coq Au Vin, I believe, which melted in your mouth. Just wow, the seasonal veggies with the truffle potato puree was such a great combo.
My father had the pastrami sandwich which was very good. I don’t usually care for pastrami, but even I found it to be good.
The service was timely and considerate, always on top of our beverages and even helped us with questions. My father said the long island he had was among the best. Absolutely recommend if you’re staying over between flights or just stopping in.
