Decided to venture out for a new place we hadn’t tried. We’d gone by this place a few times but never had time to stop in until now. Great friendly service from all wait staff. Cozy cabin vibes with excellent drink selections and food options. Outside covered and non covered patio seating with ample parking behind the restaurant. We were very happy with our dishes and drinks. Plus all the deserts were fantastic! Cheers!

Our first and only time there…. We met another couple for dinner. It went well, drinks ok, food pretty good but not spectacular. However! We were enjoying our last drink when a lady came and sat down at our table and basically asked us to get up so they could seat another group at the table. We had been there about an hour. We had an appetizer, main course then dessert. Our bill was 200+. And after we paid and left a hefty tip we were asked to get up and move to the tiny area by the front door so they could seat someone else. Another 10 minutes and we would have gotten up on our own.
I so wanted to love this place because we all know Hendersonville needs more choices.
But wow! I honestly have never had this happen.
So it makes me sad to say we will not be back.

We LOVED dining here! We felt so lucky to find this gem while traveling home from Bryson City to Charleston. I googled restaurants nearby when we stopped to get gas and this popped up. Reviews looked good, so we adventured just a few minutes off course to get here. Plenty of parking in the back, even with a pretty full dining room. As soon as we walked in, I loved the atmosphere. From entry to exit, it was a full experience. The staff was friendly and seemed happy to welcome us (which is unfortunately difficult to find these days!) Got seated right away- it was lunch time on a Thursday.
We had the burnt end lettuce wraps for an appetizer. The presentation was BEAUTIFUL and delicious. It came as an “assemble yourself” type plate. 10/10
Then, I had the chicken enchiladas- absolutely delicious and another pretty presentation. The enchiladas came in a cute small casserole dish and the wild rice & beans were such a good, unique and fresh flavor. 10/10
We shared the peanut butter cheesecake and had some coffee. Amazing. 100000/10
Perfect flow to the service, it was exactly how I prefer it- present and helpful but not overly present! 10/10
Overall, incredible experience. I felt there was a lot of attention to detail in the menu and the flavors. They hit the notes just right, but with so many flavors I haven’t had before!
For 2 soft drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 meals, 1 dessert & 2 coffees, the meal totaled about $100 including tip. I was so happy with the experience I felt it was $100 well spent. We will DEFINITELY be back. We travel this way often & I already look forward to bringing more friends & family here!

Absolutely delicious. The vibe, the food, the service is wonderful. We ordered the counselor and classic burger and we enjoyed it so much. BUT the counselor was spectacular. Fresh beef, the dripping Gouda fondue cheese and the bacon jam…no bite was left without a smile. The house made aïoli sauce and stone ground honey mustard dipping sauce left us searching for more to dip in them. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

If you’re in Flat Rock — or even just tired of the same downtown spots — it’s such an easy, quick drive and so worth it.
Every single staff member was wonderful, kind, and genuinely helpful. You can feel it the moment you walk in — everyone is happy to be there and truly loves what they do.
The food was incredible from start to finish.

First and foremost, Sean was an excellent server taking care of our party of four. The Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had. The prime rib was a generous cut and very tasty. The cook was a little too liberal with the pepper for my taste but overall an excellent meal and a great experience.

It feels thoughtful and clean with an outdoorsy vibe. My family and kids really enjoyed our lunch here. The food tasted delicious and made from scratch. I went on a Friday during Lent and they had some fish options for us. The service was excellent! We will definitely be back to try their meat. lol
