My family and I patronized Frenchie’s Oasis Bar & Grill for brunch after church! The food was outstanding, the service exceptional and the atmosphere a nice vibe with good music and a DJ. Frenchie’s is the spot to be! I can’t wait to introduce my friends and other family to Hartford’s newest restaurant and bar!

My girl took me here when I was back in town. I believe they recently opened. Let me tell you, this is now my go to spot when I come in town. The bartender was nice, the ambiance was on point and the DJ was rocking. We went on a Friday and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the food was sooooooooo good. They also have a downstairs section which is a little treat, as it doesn’t look so spacious from the outside but it definitely is. See you all next month when I’m back in town. ☺️❤️

l finally got a chance to check out this new spot. It’s on Main St in Hartford, so obviously, parking is a nightmare. The inside is nicely decorated and cozy. The bartenders are pretty nice , shout out to Pocahontas, she makes bomb drinks The food is excellent, the chef is awesome.I tried almost everything and everything was good. The service is outstanding, and they go out of their way to make sure you’re satisfied. I don’t have any complaints at all. Ooh let’s talk about the downstairs. After dinner, you can have a drink and listen to music and vibe out. I’m loving this spot so far, I think it’s great. I will definitely be back.

Frenchie’s Oasis Bar & Grille located on Main Street occupying the long time empty space that used to be Dunkin’.

I was most excited to try this place out because it’s been vacant for so long and I’ve seen the sign for a while and awaiting their opening.
After hearing about a friend’s experience, I convinced a couple others to make it over the next day they’d be open which was today, Monday. I looked it up and made reservations on Open Table.

Today’s the “Monday” and after getting off work.. waited an hour with friends who worked nearby, walked over to the establishment… I didn’t even make it past the foyer despite having a reservation for 6p.

We opened the door to the foyer and waited because that’s where the host stand was. Assuming the inner door was locked which it actually was because a staff eventually unlocked the inner door. She didn’t quite greet us, instead, she said that they won’t be taking any orders until 7:30p because the kitchen hasn’t opened yet. She also stood between the door and it felt like we were not even allowed in. She shut the door and conversed with her boss, offering us either to wait or get some kind of discount another time. I’m thankful for them trying to rectify the issue since I’ve already waited for them to open. I preferred to dine so we left.

Also, I’m at a loss if I’ll get penalized for the reservation I made on Open Table. She assured me I wouldn’t be. She didn’t take my name though I don’t know about that.

The entire thing was so disappointing. Their hours stated a 6p opening. There isn’t a website for more information either. There is an instagram page and I wouldn’t have known it was the same place if not for the address on the bio. The hours are mostly evenings only between Fridays-Mondays. It isn’t posted on the door and again, information isn’t clear.

I’m not all too keen on coming back..

BEWARE!!!!! Check your bill thoroughly when you go to this place. Rae was our server today and she really tried to tip herself 18% on a party of 4 without customer knowledge. Gratuity is a suggestion in the state of Connecticut NOT mandatory. What Rea did was illegal!! Next time find someone else to play with. It’s sad it be your own ppl trying to rob you.

Long story short Rea had to return all of her tip back in cash for trying to steal. This establishment is very lucky I don’t have it in my heart to file a complaint with Connecticut Better Business Bureau.

A Top-Tier Experience at Frenchie’s Oasis Bar & Grill

We visited Frenchie’s Oasis Bar & Grill on a night hosted by DJ Buck and Big Regg from Hot 93.7 for a comedy event—and it was absolutely unforgettable.

The space is stunning. The back of the room is anchored by two cherry blossom trees and a striking portrait of a beautiful woman, surrounded by soft white leather couches with gold trim. The floor itself deserves a mention—an elegant gold and blue epoxy design that mimics tile, giving the whole venue a photo-ready aesthetic.

The menu was clean and thoughtfully crafted, blending Southern American comfort with a Cajun twist. I ordered the fried whiting—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared—alongside a rich and creamy side of macaroni and cheese. Every dish at our table came out hot, fresh, and in generous portions.

Kamara, our server, was phenomenal—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The bartenders knew their craft well, and the service all around was on point.

From the atmosphere to the food and drink, Frenchie’s delivered a five-star experience. Whether you’re going for a special event or just a night out, this spot hits every mark. Highly recommend.

It’s 70 degrees on a Wednesday. Thought I’d stop by for happy hour 5-7p with comedy show afterwards. Arrived 545p, entering there was no bartender on 1st floor, no music playing and 5 customers waiting to be served. Female staff finally shows up and ask all of us to go downstairs for drinks n dining. As they’re cleaning tables downstairs and setting up stage for comedy show no music was playing. I asked waitstaff about music and she stated dj on his way. You advertise HH start time 5p and it’s now 6pm? No playlist in the background playing so I’m supposed to buy a drink while watch staff clean tables and move stuff around? Nah, I’m good – I left. Music, food, drinks is what bring ppl out. Obviously there’s a disconnect. That’s my third time there. First time was great on a Sunday. Subsequent visits, not so great.

The food and service were good.
Dirty rice was my favorite it had many vegetables included in it. I’d eat that alone.
Strawberry Pineapple Ginger juice freshly squeezed was A +
Kinda small but they have a second bar on the lower level.
