I just have to give a shout out to this location. I had the most lovely experience with the barista that rang me up. He explained the rewards points with me that I had and I got to get some really cool merch. That was not the best part though. I was feeling extremely anxious today and he was so kind, genuinely kind and happy to be helping me. It’s rare to find people that are happy with their jobs and engage with customers so effortlessly. I never write reviews but this guy deserves a shout out! Thank you!!!

The cashier lady was so mean with her obvious fake smile I asked for extra shot of chai which is regular for me every time I get my chai. She first charged me for 2 extra pumps and I asked her …she said they do charge for extra shot…I told her is it just this location cause I drink this tea almost everyday and I have never been charged for it. She was like ahh let me check and then she was like oh ya and took back the charge. And looked at me like I did something wrong and gave me a fake smile….to be honest I felt little uncomfortable here cause felt like they wore judging me for my race or what I wore …. The gaze was awkward..I said thank you to both cashier and person and both ignore…no acknowledgment..rude people rude behavior I will never go back there. I gave 1 star for coffee not for service.

I don’t like Starbucks or their practices, but the employees here are really great. Larry always remembers my name and my order, and one of the baristas sometimes draws these wonderful messages on my cup. Just really nice folks.

This is my favorite Starbucks on my tiny little Island. Mercer island has so many interesting things to do, places to see, art walks, trails, parks and strong community feel which gives Mercer Island a “home town” feel. Without this stand alone Starbucks, the Northend of Mercer Island wouldn’t be the same.

Ordered milkshake. Told them I would not hear my name being called. I have hearing loss. Waited at table for a long time before my friend got up and investigated. Milkshake was sitting on counter. Ed

Great staff! Friendly, hardworking folks. I got distracted in conversation and a barista was kind enough to run my food out to me at my table.
Nice aesthetic, too, with the woody, “lodge” feel.

I asked for the new chocolate, almond expresso small size and they served more ice cubes in my cup than coffee. I was very disappointed, cause I paid almost $10 for a small cup with cubes of ice and one loaf banana bread. 2 sips of coffee and that was all. 🙁

Typical Starbucks. But the iced Americano’s here are always watery with all the ice melted down to small chips. I watch them do it. They put shots in hot, then too much water, then if you take half and half, the cup is so full they can barely put any ice in, which all melts quickly. I barely drank a quarter of my drink and I had a few tiny pieces left. I will attempt to trick them next time by saying no water, all ice, and maybe add an extra shot.

The drive-thru line was backed up onto the street and didn’t move for 3-4 minutes. Parking lot also full. I gave up and went to the mediocre QFC location down the road.

I live pretty close to this Starbucks and I really want to love it, but I have to say the in-store experience is consistently frustrating. Whenever I go inside, I end up waiting for 10 to 15 minutes for my drink, which is really annoying. The drive-through is a different story though—it’s fast and efficient! But when I don’t want to wait that long, I usually end up either ordering and going through the drive-through or walking across the street to the other Starbucks, where the service is much quicker. It’s just disappointing that the in-store service is so slow here, considering how close it is to home.
