Fair warning: they may not speak English. They didn’t speak any to us. They also added the tip to your bill. So do be mindful to not tip twice.
We ordered the steak and chicken chaufa. The steak was MASSIVE. Like would feed 2, maybe 3 easily. Salad as a side. It had an amazing vinaigrette. Best part of the our dinner. Steak was a bit tough and fatty. And although it looked very juicy, it did not have a great flavor. When I tried a bite, it tasted the way a sweaty armpit smelled…
2nd best part was the chicken in the chaufa. It had a nice crunch without being overly cooked. And perfectly seasoned. The rice was very plain. And a bit disappointing. I guess Lena y Carbon has ruined us for other Peruvian places.

You Can order a ceviche, parrilla or a lomo montado and you will be pleased. I live far but is worth the drive 🙂

Atmosphere excellent…Food delicious. Although i have an onion allergy and told them but still found a little piece of an onion. As soon as I told them, they immediately corrected the issue.

Very shady practice. After tax and 18% tip (they charge 18% tip on the receipt) everything was 37.59. I paid 43. They did not give me any change.
I did enjoy the food. Although found a piece of plastic inside the calamari. They said it’s the wrapper that got cut together with the calamari and offered no apologies.
Overall my experience is poor. I guess not speaking Spanish gave me some disadvantages. From what I observed, they treat local people with more respect.

We recently dined at D’Carbon and had a fantastic experience. The picada platter was a standout, featuring succulent sausage, flavorful pork chops, and tender steak. We opted for chicken breast instead of beef hearts, and it was a delicious substitution. The accompanying salad was simple yet incredibly refreshing, with a perfectly balanced vinaigrette of vinegar, lemon, and oil.
We also indulged in a side of chaufa rice, which was an absolute must-try. It was a small upcharge, but absolutely worth it. To quench our thirst, we enjoyed a pitcher of passion fruit sangria, which was delightfully fruity and not overly sweet.
Overall, d’carbon offers a delightful dining experience with delicious Peruvian cuisine. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!”

I ordered from this place through Uber Eats, but I have eaten here before in the past. I’ll start off with the salad, which by the pictures you can tell is not very appealing… That went straight to the trash, next I had chaufa rice with half chicken, the rice was stale and flavorless, the chicken skin was juicy and tasty, but the meat itself was dry and had no flavor. I also had lomo with Carne as you can see in the picture I had to throw out all the beef because it was impossible to chew. Both the rice in the lomo and chaufa were stale and a few bits clunk together. I just came back from the gym and was very hungry, the protein was calling my name but unfortunately the meal was barely edible. Usually this place is much better. Not sure what happened with my order.

Food was great. I used to eat here all the time before the prices got crazy. Now i wait once a year to eat here when taxes come in. I look forward to it!
