The store was kind of a pig sty, the whole 45 minutes we were there not a single person came from the back to clean the tables or sweep and it looked like this when we got there (every table was dirty and we had to wipe off our table to eat). It’s shows so much that they don’t care about cleaning the store that there is old spider webs on the chairs.
Food was fresh and pretty good, chicken could use some more seasoning. Though

Didn’t get any rolls with my order. When I called to let them know, the employee said that if I ordered a 10pc chicken only, it doesn’t come with rolls but the 10 pc Family comes with rolls. As you can see, I was charged for a 10 pc family. He said the next time I come they’ll give me the missing rolls. Would not recommend this location while the employee named on the receipt is at work.
Update Sunday 6/29: I visited this same location. They have me 2 rolls with an 8 piece dark. The legs were as small as wings. At this point, William’s has lost a customer because they are too inconsistent!

Service was good, however the food…fries lacked seasoning and were very soft, chicken legs were massiveee and not in a good way. The chicken also lacked flavor, I didn’t even finish the meal I ended up throwing it away. The only thing I would go back for is the strawberry Fanta it was perfect not flat at all. I won’t be back definitely will stick to the ✊ location I just hate driving that far. Please add more flavor to everything! and whatever hot sauce y’all have please replace that it taste like sweet and sour sauce.

Very good place. Good service and very accommodating to your likings. The atmosphere was great. I came in to have some quick food. The food came out fresh. Chicken was nice hot and juicy. Didn’t have to wait for no more than 10 minutes!!! Awesome place.

I have been to A LOT of Williams Franchises but this one in McKinney, TX off University….excellent. The owner or cook, the distinct gentleman with the stylish hat SEASONS the fries, like wing stop and they are fresh and not hard and crunch nasty. The cashier, a funny, happy guy kept the lobby clean. It wasnt crowded when we went so we could hear the TV, enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We ordered the tenders dinner and the 5 piece Wednesday special. All of it was so good and fresh that I almost didnt believe it. Not sure if its that cook or what but that ISH was good. Catfish and wings to make you scream. GO and take out or eat in but if you experienced what I did…you will be happy and come back.

This location of Williams Chicken is HALAL and offers delicious fried chicken at unbeatable prices! The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and a great value for the money.
I got some corn on the cob for the kids and they loved it.
They made the chicken fresh so it took some time but was worth it.

This is a rating from a previous occasion at this location in McKinney Texas. The food was very good. The rice dressing was a little foreign to my taste being from Louisiana. Overall the place was clean, cool, and common for dinner at most eat in sit down locations. There is a television. Good place to grab some birds for the night in my opinion.

First time ever eating at Williams Chicken. After my visit at this location, not sure I’ll try any of the others. This location is filthy. From entry to the restrooms. Still tried it against my better judgment. The chicken was NOT good. It’s cooked too fast – outside is crispy but not done in the middle. Not really seasoned and greasy. Fries were the only thing somewhat decent. Waste of money.

It was seasoned fresh and hot. But they serve those huge chicken pieces?? I ordered all white (breast). I prefer regular size chicken. Not that larger than life chicken. What farm are those chicken growing on??

Not really edible. I don’t know if the chicken was bad or if they cooked fish and chicken in the same grease. I wish, no I pray that I could talk to the owner. You could make so much money at this location and it just seems like a waste. I’m actually sad. I guess they don’t need the money? Ok, well then what about delivering good food? Without making this to big of an issue. I know how fried chicken tastes and this ain’t it. My kids won’t even eat it. I had to try to put it in the oven to get the fish taste out. It’s not palpable. I don’t understand. This is borderline disrespectful. Everything tastes broken. This is for the owner: get someone in there quick that knows what this food is supposed to taste like! This location needs a new manager, and team. Maybe the boss works there? Or the family. You get me in there for one week and I could turn that place around. I am not making any money giving this information. Change the manager now! Put balloons and streamers outside and a sign saying “under new management” outside. Change the grease frequently. Use only peanut oil. Do not reuse old grease. Or cook fish in the same grease. Make sure the temperature is at least 350 with fresh grease. Old grease will make fresh chicken taste rancid. Do not “cut corners” on this. I can show you a Williams Chicken in garland that’s way smaller and they cook it so fresh and with the right grease and I know they’re making more money than this one. The location is too far for me to go there that’s why I’m making a issue with this one. It’s the potential that hurts. There should be standards. It’s almost as if the owner or staff don’t eat this kind of food at all. So they don’t know how it’s supposed to taste. The mac and cheese is almost tasteless.I had to add cheese, salt and pepper to them to be eaten The fries were soggy. The chicken had a odd mix grease taste. The fried okra was cold so the grease turned into patroleum on my lips. . I also had to put all the chicken in the oven to try to cook out whatever odd taste was in them. (Didn’t work) So… I have an this food we can’t eat. Same with the fries. Smh. If the owner is willing to speak with me I would love to talk about easy permanent ways to bring thousands of new and old customers back to this wonderful location. Prime location Sir! Because, right now this is unacceptable. If I owned this franchise I would be very angry at the money being lost. And I would wonder how are other Williams chicken doing better than I am? Get someone in there that eats this kind of food daily that way they know how it should look and taste. If not, oh my, you must have long pockets. But even if you did, I want happy customers. It’s not about money (even though it kind of is) it’s about, for me competition. I would want to shut down every restaurant near me. With exceptional customer service. I would want people to come out of town to this location. To the point where I damn near am selling hats and t shirts, kissing babies and taking photos. Because the food is so good. Doesn’t the owner want the same thing? You got something good here sir or ma’am. There’s a hotel across the street. They have no kitchen. I should see people walking across the street with boxes, but when I tell it it hear from the manager there she said “oh we sell a lot all the time” where are the people? Buckees has people crowding their store because the standards are high. Friend chicken tastes a lot better than anything in Buccees. The place should be packed. Packed. It’s the food. Fix that and there will be so many people that come in there you will forget we even had this conversation.
