Checked this place out for the first time—it’s right next to the park. Super chill vibe and nicely decorated, perfect for hanging out in the garden with friends on a sunny day. I had the beef fillet, but it came out overdone. The pasta and scotch eggs, though?

Stopped at Verdi’s with some friends after a business meeting. I had a coffee, cake, and a digestive liqueur — all excellent. The place is very welcoming, with a great atmosphere, and it’s perfectly located in the heart of Clarence Park. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy.

Maitre d’ was friendly and helpful. Terry the chef came out and shared chat and liqueur at end of night.
Familial feel.
Pizza, pasta ordered and also vegan option available which was fab as 2 of our party vegan.
We had an issue with one starter and it was sorted with minimal fuss and no hassle. Have to commend a business who will do that without even a single need to discuss. 10/10 for service.

Conveniently located for Clarence park and dog friendly, food was really disappointing, we had sausage roll and salad, sausage roll was very mediocre, pastry was not flaky, rather like a smooth hard crust, the salad was over oiled and salty, the onion pickle lacked any flavour, a bit like they’d missed out the vinegar in making it! we also had the dirty Italian fries, which were basically french fries smothered in pesto, really greasy although a good size portion unlike the sausage roll. Won’t be returning unless its for coffee which was very nice

Good place in a nice location next to the park. Went in with my husband for a brunch on a weekend and really enjoyed the coziness and atmosphere there.
We were waiting for the omelette and eggs royale for more than half an hour. For my opinion, there was too much bread in eggs royale. Also, payment terminal wasn’t switched on yet at half 10 so we have to wait again to pay.
Good place overall but probably not when you have time limits.

My family have been in Verdi’s in the beginning of September to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. The food was so delicious and staff so attentive, friendly and helpful that it made the celebration even more special. Thank you for that!
