Loved everything about this place! I should have asked for my steak tips to be cooked a bit longer. All and all, it was a great experience!

Stopped by for lunch after leaving Chain O Lakes State Park. There was plenty of parking and seating for our group of 16. The waitress did a great job of taking care of all of us. I tried the breakfast manhattan and would order again and again. The gravy has good sausage flavor and the portion size was plentiful. This place has a quaint diner atmosphere and I would return if in the area.

We were passing through town and stopped in for breakfast. Our waitress was friendly and told us about the nearby Apple Festival. Our meals were tasty and reasonably priced. I ordered the small scrambler. As you can see, it was a very generous portion for a small size and there’s more under the toast. It comes with gravy on top, but I requested it on the side. My husband ordered the Half Acre Special. We would definitely dine here again when in the area.

Some of the greatest people to serve one food. And it’s the best breakfast I have had in our Lagrange and Noble county area.

I met a few of my buddies here for breakfast not long ago and we absolutely loved the atmosphere, the food and the staff. This is your quintessential small town, Indiana diner.
The best part? One of the waitress’s son was helping clean tables. 9 years old and he was busting his tail. And loving the interaction with all the customers. I tipped him well!
If you’re ready to boost your cholesterol just a bit, go visit this place. The great food and the affordable prices are well worth the trip.

We ordered the meatloaf special for our granddaughter she has a good appetite because she is going through a growth spurt, we had been watching the plates come out with the meatloaf meals and they were large pieces of meatloaf so we thought it would be a good deal. However when they brought our granddaughters plate out it was only half the size of all the others they had been bringing out. The waitress saw us trying to get her attention a couple of different times and completely ignored us. When she finally did come over we mentioned to her the size of the meatloaf and she stated that they had a new cook and that he had been giving too big of portions and was told to start making them smaller which just so happened to coincide with my granddaughter’s plate being served. I didn’t let it rest and she finally ended up bringing out another half a piece for my granddaughter. I had to ask for a refill of my coffee after trying to flag her down I sat there with an empty cup for about 20 minutes while she was checking on all the other tables around us multiple times but not us. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. If I ate there again I would definitely try to get another server. But the food wasn’t good enough to go out of our way however if we were passing through it’s good enough that we would stop.

We had a simply lovely breakfast at Half Acre! They were so sweet with our toddler and allowed us to move to a better, roomier table when it became available. The food was very good–we loved the pancakes, omelettes, and hash browns–and we will be returning in the future!
