The food and the atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful the service was fantastic and friendly. Our server Katherine was very knowledgeable about all food orders an extremely kind & friendly and very bubbly, the other servers are just as friendly & kind. The restaurant was extremely clean and well kept.. this place is very family-friendly and if you have never had Japanese soup I advise you to come here and try it. And I have to say It was so nice and refreshing to see young adults who are very social with their customers. They were so respectful and very patience while we decided our orders. There’s plenty of parking. I give it five stars all the way through ❤️

Stopped in after soccer practice on a cool night. We were seated immediately. We ordered the spicy ramen, gyota, edamame, and the golden noodle kinya Ramen. Everything was good. Service was wonderful and fast. A definite try if you are in area. We will be back.

Our server was Cat, or Kat. I’m not sure of the spelling, but she was phenomenal. This was our first time and she was very helpful. You MUST try their house made yum yum sauce. We had fried wonton appetizer, beef ramen, and chicken fried rice. The serving size was note than enough for us and we had leftovers. We will definitely be going back.

From the first sip of broth to the last noodle, everything was outstanding. The balance of flavors is spot on—savory, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The chashu was tender, the egg was jammy perfection, and the noodles had just the right texture. Clean, welcoming space and great service make this an easy five stars.

I got the spicy chicken ramen and the broth was delicious and rich with umami flavor. The shrimp tempura appetizer was great too. Our server was very attentive. Good spot for ramen and good service. Came out pretty quickly. I’ll come back to try some of their other offerings.

Upon our evening arrival in Jacksonville, we wanted some ramen and after looking up option, we came across Kinya.
The restaurant has such a beautiful interior and it was a spacious and calming atmosphere.
Our server was patient and accommodating. He made some great recommendations & was super pleasant as well.

Our food came out quickly and it was delicious! We were thoroughly impressed with the service, freshness, and quality of our food.
10/10 definitely recommend!!

We’ve been to Kinya Ramen many times and usually had okay experiences, so our visit on New Year’s Day was disappointing.

We were 4 adults and 2 young kids. After we ordered, the host (who also served us) told us she would add an automatic gratuity because we were considered a “party of six”. This was not disclosed upfront, and we did not see it posted on the menu or website. We’ve dined here with the same group before (including as recently as mid-November) and were not charged automatic gratuity.

To be clear: we don’t mind tipping 20%. We often do, and we tip more for excellent service. The issue was how this was handled. After we paid and asked about the gratuity, the server confidently told us there was no standard policy, that gratuity depends on the server, and implied that with a different server it might not have been added. Her tone felt dismissive rather than explanatory, which made the situation worse. On top of that, the 20% gratuity was added without being clearly communicated before we ordered.

Food and service issues made the experience worse:

– Ramen arrived lukewarm.
– All three bowls of Kinya ramen were missing black garlic, and the chashu was dry and chewy.
– We ordered a simple kids’ broth and noodles (no chicken), confirmed it multiple times, but it still came with everything. When we pointed it out, the server insisted it was correct and did not apologize or offer to fix it.

We didn’t argue at the table because we just wanted a peaceful dinner with family, but the overall experience felt unwelcoming. If automatic gratuity is a real policy, it should be clearly posted and applied consistently, not decided case by case.

Update: After I posted this, the business replied saying gratuity is automatically added for parties of six or more. That contradicts what we were told during the visit (that it depends on the server), and it still isn’t posted on the menu/website. Their reply also didn’t address the kids’ order issue or the lack of any apology/fix at the table.

I stopped by Kinya Ramen on a rainy day, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. I ordered the wonton soup and a grape Asian soda, and both hit the spot in the best way. The broth was warm and comforting, the wontons tasted fresh, and the whole bowl felt like a cozy hug after walking in from the rain.

The atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hot bowl of soup. My server was genuinely kind and attentive throughout the entire visit, which made the experience even better.

This was my first time at Kinya Ramen, and I already know I’ll be coming back. Definitely a great spot in Jacksonville if you’re craving something warm, flavorful, and comforting.

I really wanted this to be my new favorite place but the ramen just didn’t blow me away. I had to doctor it a lot with soy sauce and some chili paste, oil and powder our server brought.

Broth was good but it was no where close to even seasoned.

Place is cool and service was great but the kitchen staff really needs to taste before pushing the items out for salt, flavor.

Additionally the fish cakes in Kinya Bowl were not fresh, I had a mild histamine reaction due to it. This tells me that they probably set out and were out of temp.

I probably wouldn’t choose to go here again.

We came to hunt some Ramen and this place is excellent. We had the Pork Buns as appetizers and it was the best of the meal. I would come back only for them. We had the Kinya and the Beef Ramen. The broth was so satisfying , hot and full of flavor, we both liked the chicken broth better . The beef had a sweet flavor that I was not expecting and honestly I didn’t liked it at first but when you mix it with the broth and noodles it washes the sweet away and gets better. The pork in the Kinya was great, my son liked the gold flakes and the sprouts in the Kinya. And the dessert Taiyaki was great too. My son liked the red beans ice-cream and I liked the fried sweet bread stuffed with sweet red beans paste. I will come back to try more things from the menu. And the service from Katherine was fenomenal.
