I ordered the hot sausage poboy & snow crab box. The food was a 10/10 and the service was great. This truck is actually parked at 7221 McNeil right now and it’s closer to the house. The seafood boil is very New Orleans! Lots of flavor and packed with all of the fixings!! Highly recommended

The food at the Big Easy is amazing! My girlfriend has been looking for some authentic New Orleans food for a few months now and we were so happy to find the Big Easy! The hot sausage was so good and the shrimp po boy was amazing! The owner Mr. Gordon is so sweet! We will be back for sure!

Authentic New Orleans dive with authentic New Orleans food. Big Chief’s seafood boil is on point and the blackened fish platter truly excellent. A native New Orleanian bringing real New Orleans flavor to Texas. Made me homesick. This place is the real deal. Go eat Y’all.

The beignets are to-die-for – came out quick and they were fresh and piping hot. Flaky and fluffy.. covered in powdered sugar. Couldn’t ask for more

The po’boy, gumbo and fried Cajun fish tasted just like they came from the heart of New Orleans. Not too spicy, not too salty but just enough soul in it all to make you wanna come back and try everything on the menu.
The vibe of this place couldn’t be more authentic and real.. this is a restaurant. This is a bar. This is a grill. This is where live music can be found as well. It’s just…how to say, real? This place has spirit and an air to it. It makes me wonder about who has all eaten here. It’s odd. Not many places make me wonder that. But it gets me wondering about the stories of everybody passing through.
The food and the environment are worth a trip. Fried oysters, crawfish, and the blackened fish and gumbo are definitely worth having! I think I will have the snow crab next time I’m in!

Hole in the wall, but best po-boy I’ve had since moving to Austin last year. Fried fish lunch combo

I know the picture doesn’t always match the real thing but I was kinda disappointed. Got it delivered and grabbed it as soon as it arrived. If I would’ve known the ranch was already on it and not on the side, I wouldn’t have gotten it.

Terrible service straight from the owner!! Can’t express how awful this experience was. Placed an order on the phone which she told her staff to begin not cook until we got there. Isn’t the point of calling in the Order so your food can be ready when you get there? But anyways, Ended up waiting an hr for food and owner did not care at all! Incompetent and possibly possibly the worst food ever. Soggy fish, French fries, and shrimp. Keep in mind we were a 3 min drive from the location, so no ready to be so soggy that we breading wouldn’t even stick tot he fish. Gumbo was terrible. Save your money and don’t come here.

After returning home to Austin, I was surprised to see a restaurant in my favorite bars place. I was a bit apprehensive because I was expecting the old business to be here.
What I can say is… The food, service and experience was amazing. The music and atmosphere was on point and fitting for a New Orleans style bar. I can’t express enough how good the food was. Do yourself a favor. Stop reading this review and run to this wonderful establishment!

Etouffe was good but not great. Po boy was ok. Prices are high for a food truck but that’s Austin. Was really craving some authentic NOLA flavors and was lacking a bit, but maybe diluted for TX taste buds.
