I’m a regular customer who has always had positive experiences here, but tonight was completely different. I ordered food for my husband and myself. When I got home, one order had what appeared to be guacamole smeared on the lid – it looked like someone had wiped it off but left residue.
I drove back to have it remade. The manager on duty (Jake) seemed unconcerned about the issue, which surprised me given how often I order here. He remade my order, but when I got home again, I found it had tomatoes in it, which I don’t eat and didn’t order.
I returned a second time for a refund, which he provided. However, when I came back a third time to get his name for this review (I expressed that the guacamole situation was “messed up”), he threatened to call the police.
I understand it was a frustrating situation for everyone, but as a loyal customer, I expected better problem-solving and customer service. I’ve always had great experiences with Amy, the other manager here – she is always super amazing and I’ve never had an issue with my orders when she’s working. That’s why tonight’s experience was particularly disappointing.
I hope management addresses these quality control and customer service issues because I’ve genuinely enjoyed this location in the past, especially when Amy is there.
As a local guide for Google I pride myself on fair, honest reviews. I had a horrible lunch experience at this Tijuana Flats location, food and service. They concentrated on online orders over dine in orders causing me to wait 30 minutes for one burrito. When I did finally get the burrito there was nothing in it but beef, rice and beans. No lettuce, cheese etc. (see photos below). The tortilla was also chewy. When I asked I was told “it’s Taco Tuesday and this is how it goes” by a woman employee with a dark haired ponytail. I was completely ignored by her counterpart who had a ponytail with naturally red hair. I would not go to this location. They should really not even have seating! Let them take care of their online orders that are so important! I deserve a refund of $16 since it was a waste of $$ and time! So disappointing!
The restaurant is clean and organized. You feel welcomed as you walk in. The staff is attentive and happy to answer any questions. We got to meet the manager Charles and he was checking on clients and taking orders out as well.
The food was good, not only was it made to order but the ingredients were fresh and well balanced. We had the option of having the churro bites made a bit after to make sure they were fresh and they sure were good and taste like a churro! That cinnamon sugar tops the flavor.
We will definitely come back when we are in the area. Thank you!
