It’s a basic fact of life living in Florida that you have to sample all the international cuisines that are so readily available.

The arguments may go on forever about which is the best Cuban, the best Dominican, or the best whatever restaurant. I can honestly say though, that one would be hard pressed to find a better Puerto Rican style restaurant in the area.

Mr Pinchos started as a food truck down 301 by the Riverview Market and was making awesome food back then.

Only success allows one to turn a food truck into a brick and mortar operation. Mr Pinchos moved into the old Peck;s location and did a nice job of sprucing up the place.

It is small, but comfortable. Service is top notch in both Spanish and English (for those of us still learning the Spanish part).

There is the quick counter service area/selections that all looked amazing. There is the take-out, and of course, the dine-in option. *disclaimer: what I am about to say is NOT a negative comment…
If you choose the dine-in option, be prepared to wait quite a while for your order. This is NOT “fast food”. This is cook to order perfection working here!

Pinchos de Pollo are simply perfect. Seasoning and a light bbq sauce mop and these are tender as can be. The Pinchos de Cerdo were also seasoned perfectly but were just a tad chewy (but it is grilled pork, right?).

I had a plain side of Mofongo because that’s how I wanted it this time. Again, perfection. Wasn’t dry, wasn’t lumpy, and was seasoned perfectly. I can imagine the more complex Mofonogs are out of this world good.

I also had a side of Arroz con Gandules because I love it, and this did not disappoint.

She also had a Yucca rellano that was amazingly good. I know they’re good because I could see that they kept selling out of them.

We had plenty to take home and enjoy the second time for dinner.

Be mindful of the limited parking and be careful entering and leaving due to the tight location off 301 right by the Alafia.

By all means though, get your tail into this place and enjoy so seriously good PR food!

10 amigos went here to eat, we surely came back!

The staff is amazing, the food is unmatched in Benidorm.
If you are a meat lover you must visit. If you eat here, you will surely come back for seconds. The meat is grilled to perfection. The chicken is so juicy and tender. All the sides are perfectly balanced 10/10 would recommend.

Good stuff!! Make sure to call ahead so you don’t have to wait. Everything is made to order so don’t expect a drive thru experience. If you’re into Spanish cuisine and goodness def go by this place and get some food.

Mr. Pincho’s was on my saved restaurant list from a Google search or web search. As a non-hispanic person that I love Latin food, and making a decision was not easy. The young lady who was a joy to talk to had made suggestions. Try the trifongo, which is mofongo plus sweet plantain and yuca. I ordered the grilled chicken that was juicy, but a small suggestion is salt. The pink sauce went on the chicken, but hot sauce could make it better. The young lady mentioned the hot sauce they have is not as good as a Puerto Rican hot sauce they used to have. I highly recommend it!

A hidden treasure and well priced, you can’t come to Benidorm without getting a steak here. Ridiculously reasonably priced, attentive but not over fussy service and lovely atmosphere.

The best trifongo (green and yellow banana and yuca mofongo) I’ve ever had, better yet, best mofongo I’ve ever had. The tostones are made to perfection and the chicken pinchos (skewers) are unbelievable with the home made bbq sauce. Lastly don’t forget to order your mofongo with a side of chicharrón de pollo…….come hungry and bring a friend or two because dishes this good are meant to be shared

I remember when he used to have just a food truck and now he has a whole restaurant. I like seeing my Puerto Rican people thrive. They were super nice and the food is fresh and delicious.
