As usual, there’s no menu for the main dish, just how you like your steak. We ordered it à point. We started with the famous walnut salad, which was super fresh with a really nice, generous touch of Dijon mustard in the dressing. Simple but so good.
Then came the steak… cooked perfectly, tender, and served with their iconic secret sauce, absolutely delicious. And of course, a big portion of crispy fries. The best part of the concept is that you actually get a second serving of steak and fries once you finish the first one, which makes it even better.
We also ordered dessert and it was just as delicious, the perfect way to end the meal.
Service was fast and efficient despite the restaurant being crowded (as always).
They have only one dish in their menu, Salad, Meat with herbs sauce + French fries.
Everything was delicious.
29€ per person, deserts are good too.
We didn’t wait much, however, everyone says the queue can be long(up to 2 hours waiting).
However, the service was disappointing. Just moments after the waitress left the table, I informed her that I wanted to change my steak from well-done to medium, but I was abruptly told that the order was already done, without any attempt to help or explain politely.
When the food arrived, I was also told to “sit properly,” which felt unnecessary and inappropriate — how a guest sits is not a staff member’s concern as long as it’s respectful.
Great food, but the attitude and communication from the service staff seriously affected the overall experience. I hope management addresses this, as better service would match the quality of the food.
Found Le Relais de l’Entrecôte online and decided to try it. We arrived around 11:30 AM, and there was already a queue, which shows just how popular this place is. It’s clearly very famous.
They keep things extremely simple — there is only one meal on the menu: steak frites. When you sit down, the only question you’re asked is how you want your steak cooked. That’s it. The meal comes with a green salad and bread, followed by the steak and fries.
What really makes this place stand out is their signature sauce, which is rich, flavorful, and unique. It’s the main reason people keep coming back. Overall, it’s a straightforward concept done very well and worth experiencing at least once.
and the environment is beautiful and the staff is kind. You can’t reserve, so choose times close to opening or at least after the first round.
The highlight was definitely the service. Our server was absolutely delightful, as were all the other ones we saw working there.
The steak frite itself was fine, not an amazing steak but one that was cooked well. The fries were again good but nothing special. The portion was ok, not “huge” for the price. The sauce was what we came to try, it hard to describe what it tasted like. It wasn’t amazing but wasn’t terrible either, just different.
We enjoyed our time and the dinner here. However, for us i would say it’s not worth queueing up for a long time for it though, as I think for the price and the time you can probably get better meals. However, I couldn’t fault the service.
Let’s talk about the food: the green salad was humble in ingredients and size. The steak was tender, deliciously cooked, and paired with their signature rich , flavorful sauce along with french fries. They serve it in two rounds back-2-back and zI believe the portions are satisfying. The only downside is the tight spacing between tables, which can feel a bit cramped during peak times. I found it hard to maneuver taking some photos.
Overall, a nice meal with great service. just arrive early and bring a bit of patience!
Overhyped. Only 1 dish restaurant ie steak, just choose the doneness and can’t change after the 1st serving. Medium here was almost cooked (not good at all), go for medium rare. Steak was just ordinary. Although steak was meant to be refilled, felt like it was actually 1 whole piece of steak but served twice as the portion was pretty little on the 1st and 2nd servings. However, you’ll be full as fries were overwhelmed and again, ordinary. Chateau Franc Baudron (red wine) wasn’t good at all too. Coca-Cola was even better!
There was a long queue when we left at 1.30pm.
⏰ I arrived at 19:15 on a weekday and waited for 30 minutes before getting a table. If you are alone or with one other person, probably you’ll get you table sooner than bigger parties.
The staff were super friendly and nice and I should appreciate this for this amount of workload (If I were them, I wouldn’t be this nice for sure ). They even apologized for the wait I had although I knew about it beforehand.
The salad they brought before main dish was just good. Nothing special about it.
The meat was perfectly cooked to the level I had been ordered. It’s very tasty and the special sauce makes it a fantastic experience. The portions are also generous and won’t leave the place hungry.
To wrap up: Don’t expect the best steak of your life in terms of taste, but if you are looking for a perfect experience in Paris, you can not miss this place.
