New Park Pizza , Howard Beach – Reddit

Oh hell yeah. New Park is one of my favorite pizza spots in nyc. It’s pretty widely considered top tier pizza.

The prices went up and NEW PARK PIZZA DOES NOT TASTE LIKE NEW PARK PIZZA ANYMORE! No cornmeal bottom, no burnt bottom, asked for it well done and it’s regular, no flavor in the cheese, no flavor in the sauce. It tasted like literally nothing. If I didn’t put on the regular toppings that I usually do, I would have thought I had no COVID. I could taste the garlic so I knew it wasn’t that. THE RECIPE HAS CHANGED! I remember how flavorful the sauce was and how yummy the cheese… absolutely not the same anymore. Even the new Aldo’s had a more flavorful slice than this. I grew up loving this pizza and cannot believe how much it flopped. It was an oily mess! I’m so disappointed and not sure why they changed everything up.

Perfect little pizza pit stop when you’re out running errands and need something quick but satisfying. This is the kind of place where you can grab a couple of slices and keep it moving without feeling heavy or overly full afterward.

The crust is thin and crisp, exactly how I like it, and the cheese is really good and well-balanced. I personally would’ve loved a little more sauce, but even with that, the pizza was still very enjoyable overall.

Service here is fast and efficient, which makes it ideal for a quick bite. Everyone was straight to the point but friendly. Seating-wise, they have indoor seating and also outdoor tables for warmer days, which is a nice option if you want to sit and enjoy your slice.

Overall, a solid go-to pizza spot when you want something simple, tasty, and easy without the commitment of a full sit-down meal. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re nearby.

Just keep in mind that this spot is cash only.

This is the OG Pizza spot in Queens. Rich in history and culture, you can feel the vibe the minute you step in the door. Do yourself a favor and order a whole pie so you have leftovers. Anytime I’m in the area I make sure to stop in.

I went here because of the tiktok hype.

The regular slice is ehhhhh….. I’ve had much better in queens (ie amore’s and Lucia).

The reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because their White Slice was very good. That slice is definitely the star.

Took skytrain here from JFK after seeing it recommended as a local place. TLDR will go somewhere else next time.

Crust is good but otherwise heavy toppings on the everything were undercooked due to the fast cook in a high-temp oven, while meat one has sausage sprinkled on *after* it comes out, so is constantly falling off. Might save kitchen time but it’s at your expense. If NYC people actually believe this is peak pizza I feel sorry for them.

VERY expensive for what you get – two thin slices (one everything 6.75 + one sausage 3.75) was over $11!

Cash only is a PITA If you don’t have it (plus add a few more bucks to the price, all so they can avoid taxes at your expense).

For JFK visitors add skytrain cost of $17 round trip. Plus ATM fees if you don’t have USD cash. Much cheaper to eat at the airport or get a cab to go anywhere else that respects the customer.

New Park Pizza is a Queens staple and arguably one of the best spots to grab a slice in the borough. I tried both a regular slice and an everything slice, and both were absolutely delicious with a crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and perfectly melted cheese.

Service was fast and efficient, so you won’t be waiting long for your order. The pizzeria offers both indoor and outdoor seating, though space is limited and outdoor seating is seasonal. The ambiance is casual, making it an easy, no-frills spot to enjoy great pizza.

If you’re in Queens and craving a quality slice, this place is a must-visit.

Saw a line outside the door decided to stop and try it and wow fresh and delicious pizza
I tired regular slice and a Sicilian. $3.75 each cash only

Line outside took a while to get to the window.
Inside line wasn’t too bad.
