Reviews
The staff are very friendly, accomodating no words can explain about it☺️☺️keep it up❤️❤️❤️
But what really makes Hanzo stand out is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and they’re always quick to help without being overbearing. That kind of service makes a huge difference.
The vibe is relaxed but still feels classy — perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying a good meal. Overall, Hanzo is hands down one of the best spots for sushi in RAK. Definitely coming back.
Overall:
– Great sushi and Japanese fusion dishes
-Friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel valued
– Pleasant atmosphere for casual dining
If you’re actually looking for a restaurant that is fine dining and japanese vibes, this place is for you♥️
The staff are very friendly as well. Erlin and Angel were so accommodating and served us with utmost care. I would also like to commend their manager, Ms. Anna. We met her during our first visit, and she was very hands-on, welcoming and accommodating
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It’s a bit dim, but they provide portable lamps that add to the warm ambiance while allowing us to see and enjoy the food comfortably.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
For the lack of better words, I am dreadfully disappointed.
I’ve tried Hanzo several times throughout the years but I’ve got to say their quality has definitely downgraded significantly regarding their food items.
Starters:
-The ‘wagyu’ skewers (55dhs) tasted like regular <10dhs skewers you’d buy at any grill. With that said, I’ve had it before at Hanzo, and it was my favorite dish.
-The shrimp gyoza (58dhs) felt alright but not much in terms of taste, shrimp was cooked properly though, I got a comment that it tasted like a sausage but I did not find it that extreme although it’s definitely lacking in flavor, but was nicely cooked.
Main course:
-Steak ‘sizzling’ (125dhs) was not satisfactory AT ALL, due to the fact it was sliced thinly while the plate it was served on was obviously straight out of the stove meant that it slightly charred the underside and adding to the temperature of the overall steak making it overcooked to a somewhat medium well. It did not wow me in terms of flavor, the vegetables were nice, the biggest complaint I got was that the garlic was not cooked at all, we were eager to smash it but it turned out hard and were underwhelmed by the whole dish altogether. The mashed potatoes were alright, nothing to complain about there. The steak sauce was definitely needed for this dish, and was quite good.
Drinks:
-Lychee Coco (29dhs) was alright but I noticed that it became less viscous than last time which felt off, as a reference, it should have the consistency of Laban.
-Kalamansi Mojito (29dhs) was quite good, tasted like out of season clementines, which is something I’m into.
Overall, I would not recommend these items, I’m sad to say I’ve once enjoyed some of these dishes before thoroughly but to see it go down in quality infuriates me and makes me glad I haven’t ordered anything else (we were planning to get desserts but we were so disappointed with what we got that we did that elsewhere).
Edit: while this review only talks about the food, the staff were quite friendly and attentive, while the place was empty, the service has always been superb, even though our waitress was slightly nervous, we were not affected by it negatively, but reminded us we are all human beings with emotions.
