This restaurant is a hidden gem, an unforgettable experience from starting to finish. The setting was both romantic and uniquely adventurous a perfectly captured charm as a hidden jewel here in the Tri Cities! The food was exceptional from the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich flavorful sauces! If you’re looking for a dining experience that is unique and memorable this is the place to go!

Super fun experience but it could use a “face lift”. Excellent service. The food is good but very expensive. It’s the perfect place for a special occasion but I wouldn’t go for a dinner out. I recommend making reservations, especially for groups of 4+. The Veal Marsala was 5 stars whereas the Chicken Parmesan was closer to 3 stars and the Alfredo somewhere in between.

I wish I’d known about this place when I lived here. About the best dining experience I’ve had in Richland: intimate, sedate, excellent food, personalized and kind service. Chill. If only the scenery moved by and the room rocked a bit. I was back in town to deal with some family business, so was not in the mood for what is on offer at most nearby restaurants– a packed noisy room with a view of the river, and a harried staff of teenagers guilt-tripping me into a 25% tip. This place is perfect.

Had dinner with two friends last night and it was so wonderful. What a cute restaurant! The customer service was great, the vibes were great and the food was AMAZING. We had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and it was so tasty. It had perfect flavors of seasoning and meat and mushroom. Yum. Each of our meals were absolutely delicious. I can’t stop thinking about it! Can’t wait to go back!

Seated right away. They were packed when we arrived, but people finished their meals and left. Service was slow, waited 15 minutes on menus.

Server was good, but overwhelmed.

Food was slow to arrive. Portions were adequate and food was good.

Didn’t know they had a parking lot on back side of restaurant until after we arrived. (It was empty)

Great place for a date

Have wanted to try this place for a while now and finally had the opportunity. I love the train car experience it’s a cute place. No standing room inside people right next to you as they wait for their table. This didn’t bother us just so you are aware. Small place so it was quite loud, had some ladies deep in wine who were very loud. Once they left the noise level was okay. Overall the atmosphere was very unique and enjoyable. Kids loved seeing the kitchen at the end of the train car. The food was just okay. The bread starter was very dry, the roll was better just not much flavor even with the basil oil they provide. I had the black and white braised pork pasta dish. I can’t find the name of it anywhere online and didn’t take picture of the menu, but for the price there was very little on the plate. Noodles were home made and yummy but falling apart. Pork meat had very little flavor and just wasn’t a good cut. I think the sauce had separated. Just wasn’t great. My daughter enjoyed her fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp and her friend liked the Mac and cheese kids meal. Both their food looked good, and most of the pictures I see on reviews look wonderful. I would like to give something else a chance when and if we make it in again. We had great service, and sat down at opening on a Friday night for 3 with no reservation but they filled up quick.

We have lived local for years and somehow have only discovered this gem of a restaurant tonight. The setting is great with an eclectic mix of music. The limited menu is divine…and the service is top notch. Sad it took us so long to finally come here!

We dined here with our kids last night, and wow, what a fun and pleasant experience!
We showed up later on a Saturday night without a reservation, so wasnt expecting to be accommodated or treated very well (especially with kids in-tow.) However, everyone was exceptionally hospitable and just asked if we could wait 20 minutes. Its worth mentioning for newbies- there is NO waiting area/lobby, except for a small, standing room only covered enclosure outside of main door. We chose to wait in our car, and that was no big deal.

When we got in, we were greeted with smiles and positivity and got our orders in quickly. Kids Menu was great (ours ordered pasta dishes) and we went with Chicken Parm and Herb-Crusted Chicken.
All selections were fantastic! Bursting with flavor. Portions lean a bit on the smaller side, but the prices (I feel) are appropriate and approachable for a nice meal out in a unique and classic vibe!

Our server was Liz and she was just super pleasant, great with our kids and knowledgeable on the menu. It was fantastic and personable service.

I also enjoyed a glass of the Negroamaro and it was great with the meal and priced at a very reasonable $11.

Topped the meal off w homemade raspberry mousse and cannoli, which were BOTH amazing.

My expectations weren’t very high going in and I figured I would just be paying for the novelty of the “come have Italian food in a train car” experience, but man, everything well exceeded our pre-conceived ideas. We appreciate the crew we experienced that night-we could see into the kitchen to, and everyone worked efficiently, calmly and like a well-oiled machine.

Kudos, Monterosso’s! Thank you for making a GREAT memory for my family!

Went on a Tuesday wine tasting night and every wine & cheese pairing was delightful. The blue cheese truffle was a favorite.
The mac & cheese pork tenderloin entree special was very flavorful. Can’t wait to dine here again and taste their other offerings.
