Hubby loves this place, so I was very excited to try it too! It wasn’t terribly busy for when we arrived; the bartender was super personable and knowledgeable! I wish I got her name so I could glow her up but I didn’t. ☹️
The menu is reasonably priced, the portions were perfect, and the selections were very varied. We both got omelets and they tasted amazing. They weren’t runny or overcooked and the toast we got with it was perfect. I wish I knew the hash brown casserole recipe cause it melted in my mouth. For dessert we got the blueberry cake doughnuts and they were crazy good…better than any chain doughnut place! I am gonna tell everyone about how wonderful this place is. Can’t wait to go back.

Yall this place lowkey smacks. Compared to what’s offered around the area this is a must have breakfast. There’s pretty boring stuff in that area but this really took me by surprise. Now don’t get me wrong of course it’s not going to be life changing food. BUT the food is great and guarantee that there’s goin to be something you like. Servers have great attitudes and price there is reasonable. Although my personal opinion is to go a TINY bit lower on price, like just a little. Like maybe 1-2$ on all items MAYBE. Even then it’s still worth the prices. Only takeaway would be prices but even then it’s not the most horrendous thing in the world. Overall perfect place for the area and hope that it doesn’t shut down.

This was our first time at the The Toasted Yolk in Danville, VA. Our waitress Ashley was delightful. The portions and presentations were fabulous. The taste… On point! My shrimp and grits were outstanding. My husband raced over his chicken and waffles with jalapenos in the waffle. We came mid-morning and hopefully we get to come back soon. We are not from Danville.

Was a little worried when I saw it was a chain, but…it was actually great. Big menu! Don’t skip the warm blueberry donuts and blueberry compote or the excellent breakfast quesadillas with their lovely Garlic & jalapeno hot sauce. Will be back!

Stopped here for brunch on our way out of town. There was a long wait but the line moved quickly. Everyone working was extremely sweet and kind, and the food was incredible. I got the shrimp and grits and it was the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. My husband got the southwest bowl which was equally tasty. Definitely stop by here if you need something to eat!

Our first visit to The Toasted Yolk Cafe. Our server Ashley was 10 Star service! Food was the BEST in then world! I had the Sunrise Breakfast Bowl! WOW!!! Great flavor, large amount and great price! I can’t wait till my next visit! Family friendly! It is worth the trip! You will not be disappointed! This restaurant gets a 10 Star rating from me (and I am very judgmental about places I eat before the service.) Thank you Ashley for your hospitality!

I visited today and really enjoyed the food—everything was delicious! I also ordered the strawberry orange mimosa, which tasted great. However, I was surprised by how little was in the glass when it was brought out (I’ve attached a photo). For $11, I expected a bit more. I asked the waitress about it, and she mentioned she gets that question a lot. It might be worth considering either filling the glass more or switching to smaller champagne flutes and adjusting the price. Otherwise, I had a great experience overall.

We needed breakfast somewhere close to the casino, google took us to the Toasted Yolk not far away and it was so much better than we expected!

This place is large and new and clean and the selections are unexpected. The staff understands their role so you get in and out for a reasonable price = WIN!

Only giving 4 stars because the staff was great.
Omelet was lacking in flavor and the hashbrown stuff was just not good.
Shrimp and grits – hubby had to add a lot of salt & pepper before it had flavor
Maybe we just went on a bad day cuz they were packed with a wait

My husband & I love this place! The service is always amazing, food is always hot and tasty, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re not even in Danville! Every server we get has been great, however, Dori made my husband’s birthday brunch very special. Honorable mentions to the mimosas! They are the best I’ve had in so long! This is our new favorite breakfast spot in Danville!
