Update: they apparently don’t know the difference between supremes and regular chicken. Crazy to think if you spend $60 on food they wouldn’t get it right. Nope, they only gave us half of what we ordered. They need to all be let go and hire better people. If you hate your job THAT BAD, there’s the door!
3rd update 6/23: This facility is worse than ever. The food is still fair but you might not want to eat it in this nasty, run down place. It’s enough to turn off your appetite. Take a look at the photos. The chair back are so sticky they stick yo your clothing. The cracks in the chair bottoms collect food debris. The counters are worn, the walls crooked, the tiles greasy…. and the restroom is beyond nasty. This restaurant should be condemned.
2nd Update 4/23: post-COVID, it’s better, but not great. The food is good most days. The restaurant facility is run down. Restrooms are frequently untidy and small. Tables, chairs, carpet,… is worn. Albemarle deserves a nicer facility like the newer Bojangles Restaurants.
The manager and staff are usually friendly and accommodating. Kudos to them.
The menu is fried chicken and biscuits with a few sides. Cajun pintos are pretty good. The dirty rice gets soggy. The biscuits are great most times. No one fries better chicken these days.
Notice – The prices have rapidly increased. Expect to pay $10-$15 for lunch or dinner, sometimes more. Breakfast is more than $5 for a biscuit and coffee. Be careful when ordering. The menu can be tricky which may end up costing you more than expected.
She was trying to put the chairs up when we walked in as of they were closed.. then messed up our order so we had to re-order to get the right stuff.
Our food was cold when we got it. Tenders and rice. Only thing warm was the biscuits.
It’s a DRIVE THRU.
If they are cold, they should put on a jacket
