I was sat down and it was about 750 or so. They put me in the front corner by the door. Seems like an easy person to see. Sat there and finally said something to the hostess and she got someone to come over.
She apologized for the wait. She took my order which I tried something a little grandiose this time. I tried the stake in the grilled chicken. She asked me if I wanted biscuits I’ll let her know.
She came back and dropped off my drink which was sweet tea and did not taste good and I never saw her again.
Another lady brought my food out after waiting for it to be cooked. No one ever brought my biscuit out like I requested. She brought some over after. Never saw anybody show back up to give me my first refill ever. I was there for almost an hour and got one crappy drink.
The meal itself was a mixed bag. The 10 oz steak was actually pretty decent. Didn’t have enough salt on it but nothing does anymore at cracker barrel. They cooked like I liked it. Lots of juice on the plate. I was actually pretty impressed. They gave you a choice between the chicken strips or the grilled chicken. I swear as God is my witness they must take a frozen chicken breast and season it and just grill it up real fast. The center portion of the chicken had an off texture. It tasted like it was not cooked all the way through. The blackened top was relatively flavorless. It had a little something on it but not much. I ended up just carving the top off and eating that.
From besides I got green beans and carrots and to be fair they were both pretty decent. The rolls when I got them we’re not exactly fresher or hot. It’s a shame too cuz their roles are the best when they’re fresh.
I’m not sure if the moral of the story is you shouldn’t go to this cracker barrel or just you shouldn’t go here past 7:30. Whatever it is I wouldn’t go back. They don’t care about you.
Which was great. I made an extra order of corn bread to take home with me.
It was an awesome day. It was Valentines Day.
I was blessed someone paid my bill for me. It was worth the drive from where I live.
I had one of the best breakfast pancake breakfast. They hot with slightly crisp edges and perfect with the fried apples.
I had a piece of my husband’s steak it was quite a large steak for breakfast steak: very tasty and tender.
I also enjoyed my chicken and the biscuits. Everything was wonderful and Renette took care of us she was so warm and friendly.
Usually I associate Cracker Barrel with N. C I used to live there but this branch was just as special.
It is worth the drive of an hour and a half just to come here. It made my day.
At this location (10090 Daniels Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL), we were woken up at 6:00 a.m. by the police and told to leave immediately or face arrest. No communication or hospitality from management. Our daughter, traveling in her own van, experienced the same treatment. Meanwhile, large RVs seem to be welcomed without any issue.
Very disappointing experience from a brand known for supporting travelers.
